Overlooking the marina, Allakala B&B is in Palermo's historic centre. It has excellent bus links around the city and modern rooms with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and marina views. B&B Allakala is 10 minutes' walk from Palermo Cathedral and the main harbour. Regular buses take you to the harbour and Palermo Train Station, 1.5 km away. Rooms have a contemporary design with elegant furniture and a modern bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. Freshly baked croissants from the local bakers are served each morning at breakfast. You also have a 24-hour reception with luggage storage.

Very clean and thoughtfully but simply presented. Excellent view. Very clever use of half a floor in a larger building. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful, made us tea and brought breakfast earlier than advertised in the morning. It was a quiet and pleasant stay with a number of good restaurants nearby. The rooms have a magnificent view to Palermo's marina. Staff was friendly and eager to help. The whole decoration is infuenced by the Marina (Sailing Theme), which we really liked.

I liked the neighbourhood a lot, but it is phenomenally grubby, so having a peaceful clean room to rest in was essential!. a haven from a dirty city. lovely views of the marina. nice and friendly staff tastefully decorated. I liked the breakfast, served on a silver dish to your room. And the staff is very friendly. Very central location in the city. Very nice view from the room. location. central location - although if you have a car - you can basically forget about staying here. the taxi took forever just to get to the street of the address due to conjestion. and that is at midnight. Nice view of the marina; breakfast served in your room; staff were courteous. Location was good. We very nearly turned away as the entrance is unusual and does not do justice to the interior. The door onto the street serves the whole building and is onto a dusty and dirty main road. The interior could not be more different than the exterior!. Free parking is difficult to find, so you have to take care to leave your car in the recommended parking. However, this is cheap compared to others and safe. We did not like that we can not keep the key of the door. No kettle in the room. The staff were always kind enough to fill a thermos or hot water bottle, but it would have been better for us to have been more independent. The rooms face out to a pretty view, but it is over a very busy road, so even though there is double glazing you do get that noise. Having said that, it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. the outside. bit hard to find and no lift. A bit expensive for a relative basic room. Traffic noice - high treffic road just ouside the vindow. a bit noisy. the breakfast - it is very poor. there is basically no selection - just basic. for a B&B - one of the Bs (breakfast) is almost non existent. if you have luggage - forget about staying here. On a very noisy, busy street; rooms are looking shabby and need updating. Don't waste time or energy using their airport transfer service. Marco was very unprofessional and you can take a taxi for the same price. Even better, you can take the shuttle bus and if you ask the driver, he will drop you off 1 block from the hotel for 6.10 euros.
