  I liked Bergamo very much. The hotel is perfectly situated in a walking distance from the railway station - just about 15 minutes. And it also takes not more than 20 minutes to walk along a nice via Borgo Palazzo to the Upper Town which I find especially beautiful.   San Lorenzo was a lovely hotel, in the centre of the old city old Bergamo, the staff at the desk were really nice and informative, the room was small but really well equipped with a balcony overlooking the 'gardens', parking was free outside the hotel because the hotel provided us with a ticket to put in our car , a real bonus. The hotel is perfectly located and our room had a balcony overlooking the mountains, which was fabulous. It is in the centre of town but very quiet and peaceful.
