This hotel is right on the main street of Kilkenny within walking distance to Butler Castle and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a gourmet dinner in their restaurant. Delicious! Our room overlooked the main street and was very spacious. The decor was very modern, softened by crystal chandeliers. The Zuni is a wonderful boutique hotel!. Everything was very good the food was tasty and well presented staff were professional and helpful location excellent bed very comfortable also liked the fact we could park car at hotel.
kaikki arvostelut » Staff was extremely accomodating. We had to check out early the next day and they made us coffee and gave us some take away food as we couldn't make their breakfast time. I really liked the cafe style for breakfast also the early bird menu @ zuni restaurant was great value. Rooms were very modern. Location is perfect . Noise from kitchen fans and noisy plumbing which did eventually stop around midnight. Parking was a little hard to find as it was in the back of the restaurant, but the staff gave good directions when we checked in. Our door key seemed to be jinxed, kept not working but the staff were always very helpful when they were fixing it - even once at 1.30 am! That is the only negative thing I can think of - and such a tiny detail!!. It was perfect. Finding it, especially the parking lot is a challenge, better signage to the lot, possibly gps coordinates. Ireland in general is not big on addresses and though easy to find your way around after you get oriented it can be quite confusing when you first get to a city and are trying to find things at the same time you are navigating very narrow and congested roads. Not a thing, loved it!. desert. Difficult to find the car park. Rooms a little on the small side. Our room was so hot. It was like someone had a heater on yet the hallways felt air conditioned. Nothing :-). No clear indication of parking , details in the reservation email would be good. Shower was very average at best. Rubbish bags in the exit alley way. Breakfast was nice but staff did nt seem organised , An ajoining table of 4 got 3 breakfasts and the last girl had to wait at least 10-15mins for hers. Basic, called itself a boutique hotel but looked more like a travel lodge. Rooms very plain, basic facilities/ for €140 per room per night I had expected more. Not a boutique hotel. At all. Website not reflective of the hotel itself. sharing breakfast area with non residents. price relative to quality(expected a better breakfast from hotel based on restaurant reputation) Facilities (no hot water in sink and extremely slow water flow in cold tap) Overall, experience was pleasant enough and location was fine but way over priced relative to service(you can stay in excellent 5 star hotels in Dublin 2 for close to same amount). Bedroom was too warm , bed was really really uncomfortable and lumpy . The shower tray in my room was blocked and backed up and stinking water came back up - it was disgusting . Staff not all that helpful or pleasant .
