Our gracious hosts were welcoming and wonderful. The Chateau was lovely. It was situated on the banks of the Viennne River next to an 11th century church. The family suite was beautifully appointed with two connecting rooms. Beds were wonderful.

Sylvie and Roger are great hosts, we felt at home at Les Cathelinettes. Place was modern, clean, nicely designed, bathrooms clean and updated. Bed is Queen size, pretty low. Our hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation was of a high standard, as was the breakfast provided. The town of Chinon is approx. 15/20 minutes walk and has the usual shops restaurants etc and the all important chateau. There is a gite to rent on the property which would be ideal for families as the grounds are extensive and safe and there is a swimming pool with lots of outdoor seating/barbecue etc.

Well what can we say? This is the sort of place you want to keep a
secret.. Its an absolute gem!
We stayed in the ground floor room and it is huge, spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with a mixture of old and new, all of which is enhanced by attractive soft furnishings and the owner's own paintings.

Charming is the best word I can use to describe the rooms , grounds and gracious hosts. They have thought of everything: a mini fridge (to keep your picnic supplies cool or to grab a drink provided by the hosts), spacious (for France) bathroom with fabulous hot water , comfy bed and lots of outdoor spaces to explore or enjoy a meal al fresco. The Domaine is in an area teeming with wineries and chateaus - great for exploring. It was a high point of our recent trip.
