Cradle Mountain National Park is a 35-minute drive from the property, while Launceston is a 2 hours' drive away.

What a wonderful place to relax and veg out. The cabins were well supplied, with a well stocked fridge, lots of soft towels in the bathroom. The dining area was just like a ski lodge that you might see in an old film - wonderful. Breakfast was great -- lots on offer. The area was just perfect - quiet and relaxing. We will be returning next year, we liked it that much. Beautiful walks on the property with few other people around. Excellent food at the restaurant. Self contained chalets which were very family friendly. Close to Cradle mountain National park and other places of interest: Tasmazia, Sheffield (excellent fudge & coffee shop), Railton (topiary). Breakfast included (big hit with kids).
kaikki arvostelut » The location is excellent if you are looking for a wilderness experience. Our tree top cabin was so warm and welcoming when we arrived with the gas log fire already lit. The walks are great and suitable for every level of fitness. The food was very good in the evening and the breakfast was adequate. It was a beautiful cabin in the middle of the bush, they had the heating on so it was warm. The cabin had lots of room and privacy. Excellent breakfast provided. They had a souvenir shop and lovely area in restaurant to sit by a fire. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. The tree top chalet . . . one of my top 10 stays in all my years of travel! Dinner . . . delicious but a little pricey ($35 for all mains, $47.50 for 2 courses) unless you are up to a drive on a dark unsealed road to the nearest town. We were awestrucked the moment we reached Lemonthyme Lodge! It was peaceful and magical! We came across Echidnas, possums and pademelons right at our doorstep! We were very comfortable especially with the fireplace at night. The waterfalls on the property were fantastic! The breakfast was very hearty. The bed was comfortable. They have late check-in which helped because the roads in Tassie are windy and take a long time to navigate. Silence! - and the relaxing ambiance. The rain-forest. The birds. No TV. No radio. The food. The wait-staff in restaurant were lovely; helpful and efficient. The "log" fire in cabin. The secluded location and surrounded by nature. The fireplace in the lounge room creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. Also, enjoy the hot breakfast which is included in the rate. Location - deep in temperate rainforest Boardwalks in forest (but stay more than 1 night to enjoy) Excellent dinner menu Excellent overnight stay if visiting Cradle Mt. All of the above plus, the peace and quiet, beautiful scenery and friendly animals. Also the food was scrumptious, if anything just too much ... half the entrees. It is worth eating at the lodge! Food was amazing. Was great breakfast was included. Was given a little package of water and cookies upon our departure. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a nice room. Great location over looking the valley to a distant waterfall. It was very private. The food and chef Darren was amazing - the best part of our entire Tasmanian 10 day trip. The Main lounge was amazing. Walks were wonderful. I loved being among the trees! The staff (two young girls)were amazing. The whole experience was first class! I have already recommended it. Great relaxing environment. Great sign posted walks to enjoy the scenery. The cabins were lovely and hotel very homely and well maintained. We loved everything. Great room, great location, staff were fantastic. It was a shame we couldnt stay longer. Restaurant was amazing. Food and Tassie wine was lovely. Surroundings, room and spa was magnificent. Beer and wine list at restaurant needs improvement. Tv old and outdated. No Tv reception (only dvd) and v expensive and limited Wifi (this could also be viewed as a positive). Property in general needs a bit of updating including signage and descriptions of walks on the property. Very little changed since we last visited 4y ago. The bed was a bit like the resort in general, a bit tired and in need of some attention. It is in the middle of nowhere a long way up a dirt road. It was raining and no street lights so it was a bit challenging to get to. You had to eat at their restaurant which was nice and the food was good but quite expensive. If travelling as a group of friends, there is no tv however you can hire a DVD player for $15 plus $3 for each DVD. The Freycinet Lodge has no charge for the DVDs . . . a much better system, dont you think?. It did not have cable tv. We need to rent DVDs from the office. A bit off the road. Smart-arsed remarks from the grubby tattooed chef! Broken wire mesh in several places on the board-walk of the Fernglade track. I would like to be able to have played meditative and atmospheric music (CD's) in our cabin. Not enough privacy if you are staying in a room like we did.You could hear next door chatting and a bit noise when people walking along the hall way. I'd only booked for 1 night. Having to close the balcony doors at night, so shutting out the night noises as well. Suggest screen doors as on the windows. The photos of the spa in the room we booked was not correct.. The spa was actually just in the bathroom rather than overlooking trees as the photo depicts. The Large bed had a joiner in the middle which could be a little uncomfortable. There were no TVs in room. The staff was very friendly apart from a young receptionist or also served us dinner, felt as if she was not happy with her job. Room could be cleaner, we found a few hairs in the bed. The road coming in was a bit rough we didn't realise it was so far in the bush. Otherwise perfect. The water fall walk supposed to be 1hr 45 mins took us 4hrs but we enjoyed it. Not really a dislike though I guess... We visited here 5 years ago, unlike then: * Very disappointed with Restaurant food. * Sign posts for walks could be more prominently displayed. * On our previous visit, staff volunteered information, were very welcoming and hospitable. Not quite the same this time. Serving staff had attitude. When booking asked for two double beds, but got 1 double and 2 single. No food preparation facilities in cabin meant I was forced to eat evening meal in restaurant. Waitress seemed to discriminate against me as a solo traveller which made for a very unpleasant experience. Food poor value for money. My entree had a hair in it. Only one vegetarian option for the main meal, which was a tart. Pastry was burnt and vegetables so undercooked they were still hard. No tv in cabin. Probably nearly due for furniture update !. nothing. (i) There was no tv / music available in the pole cabins but is available in the family pole cabins ( which are the same price except you have to pay addtional $38 p/p per night) (ii) staff verbally offered a cooked breakfast but to find that this was an additional cost when we checked out (iii) daily room cleaning was inadequate as the coffee cups in the rooms had been rinsed but still had coffee stains. No wifi. The Meals are to Dear ,for our Budged . Bit too remote up long gravel road, restaurant expensive.
