The accomodation was very clean & cost was good for us& even though it was close toYHA & Backpackers acc, it was not Noisy. - Its an old 1877 cottage what you would expect.   Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

Could park the car on their driveway for $5 as the usual free roads round the corner were rammed with cars visiting the stadium for big matches. Well equipped kitchen and lots of fridge space. Decent communal area where people can chat and socialize. Being right in the cbd was great and we enjoyed our evening views over the street. Being on the 9th floor meant we were far enough away from any street noise. The staff were friendly and obliging. This is a great spot to explore from. We enjoyed being almost across the road from Rom - The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer,and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

  After living in crowded, dirty and run down hostels for 4 months I decided to take a break between travelling and stay in my own room with bathroom for 2 nights. It was heavenly! Room perfect for solo traveller. Room nice and cool (with good air conditioner) and 'dark' for sleeping which tops my list for a quick, relaxing, - The Motel had everything I needed. It was close to Roma St. Station and easy walking to and around the cbd. It was air conditioned, had a comfortable bed and good shower facilities. Everything I needed. Top marks to the staff, very courteous.
