  We were pleasantly surprised about how nice it was. We arrived late and were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. It was new and there was plenty of room. The bed was big and comfortable and there was a large shower. Noise from Northborne Ave was minimal ( and this is a huge factor- which anyone who has stayed on Northborne will attest). Having said that, we could have gone acr - I hAve booked and paid for approximately 15 + rooms at ArIa over the last 4 months and still Aria's software on which bookings are made doesn't appear to recognise me as regular. I find this puzzling and can only assume my business is not valuable to Aria. Also Aria's 2 % fee for MasterCard payments is unfair, how else to pay? staff's issuance of a merchant copy for signature prior to providing a tax invoice for checking is very poor.   Reception staff - very friendly at each encounter. I was welcomed with unsolicited suggestions and free maps - very nice touch you would normally only see in a small country town. I am not that fussy but . . . I find dry irons in hotel rooms very frustratingly ineffective and a statement of mistrust. Breakfast buffet was very, very reasonably priced - didn't feel any urge to over-eat just to get my mone - My wife fell and broke her arm 3 hours after we arrived; I was diagnosed with DVT 3 days later. We had to extend our stay by 3 days as doctopr would not allow me to drive home. Staff was very helpful indeed in finding another room for us for 3 days even though the hotel was heavily booked. Could not speak more highly of the staff. Also good to be able to have dinner brought to our room.
