We did not book directly through Best Western so when we arrived, we
discovered our room did not have a balcony but a patio instead. Told the
management of our displeasure and they moved us to the 3rd floor the
next day. We appreciated the accomodation. Once moved, we were very
happy to have a private balcony. Room was very clean and the

We would definitely stay here again. Was so clean and comfortable, that it felt like home. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for shopping, eating, and catching the ferry to Mackinack Island.

The hotel is located water front on Lake Huron. Old property, but
maintained very well. Provided an extensive complimentary breakfast.

The location was amazing - just a few minutes walk to downtown, Mackinac Island Ferries, and Colonial Michilimackinac. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Very comfy bed! Breakfast was sufficient. Pool area was nice as well. -

Clarion has the best pillows ever and plenty of them. Each bed came with 4 pillows on them, plenty for people who like extra. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely no complaints regarding the cleanliness of the rooms. I felt very comfortable and clean. Overall, the Clarion is a great value for the money. -

Great recommendation of local restaurants, services, etc. Proximity to the ferries.
The actual beach was nice. The sand was clean and it was nice to have a fire pit.

Best value for location. Hotel shared almost all hotel spas and pools in Mackinaw City. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Views not the best but can get to any park or lake front property easily for best views. -

Therese and her staff are wonderful. They are so willing to go above to
help their guests and provide information on place to eat and visit. The
property is on old highway 31 which helps with the charm that it is not
located by all the other hotel,motel and is very quiet. The room I
stayed in was roomy, clean and plenty of pillow for the bed. If you want
a change in staying off the beaten path, stay at the Thunderbird Inn.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and even allowed us to check out later so that I could take a shower after running a marathon. Everything was great and we will certainly be back. -

I liked the private balcony and the view of the Mackinaw Bridge and Mackinaw Island. We were lucky there were fireworks the night we stayed. Liked the bathroom set-up with separate room with the shower & toilet in one and sinks in another. -

The spaciousness of the room was great, and so many lights! We loved the
pool. The fact that the sink is outside the shower/toilet area. It
was close enough to the toursit secton w/out being in the tourist

Very friendly, helpful staff. We were offered discount coupons for ferry and some restaurants. Also suggestions for getting around and things to do. That was nice. Very clean, comfortable and safe. Beautiful views and location to The Bridge is amazing. Easy walk to Ferry, shops and restaurants. Relaxing and quiet. We felt very welcomed there. -

Charming hotel in the shadow of the Mackinac bridge. Beautiful view, day or night. Quiet. Very clean room and comfortable beds. On our trip north we had stayed at a national hotel in the Saginaw area, they could learn some tips from the Riviera!
