Very comfortable! Bed was so comfortable; had a great night's sleep. Wifi, TV and coffee in the room, nice fitness center and pool. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping and to train station since i came by train. Lots of parking in case one arrives by car. -

I arrived early on my check-in day around 9:30 AM from the train station in Emeryville. I asked the person at the front desk if I could check in a bit early if a room was available. She said she would notify Housekeeping when one was available and within a hour one was and I was very happy since I had not got much sleep on the train, Thanks -

This place is good if you need a quick place to sleep close San Francisco. Hotels in the City charge up to $50/day to park. Parking at La Quinta was free and I enjoyed the hassle free ride on Bart.

It's near Downtown Berkeley Bart station, so it's quite convenient.
The breakfast, though lack in varieties, served its purpose. The staff was Ok. -
Liked it all. Very convenient to places we needed to go to.
Whenever we went out and came back it was like returning home.

One of the maids helped me find the heater control. There was a controller on the wall, but the real controls were on the wall panel. Also the room did not have glasses so she got them for me. Very helpful. I liked the water filter. -

I went to uc Berkeley for an academic conference and I really had a
pleasant stay! The room we got had a king bed, a microwave, a fridge,
and about everything you expect from a standard hotel room. The bed was
especially comfortable. I could hear buses and cars occasionally after
midnight, but that really didn't bother me at all. I brought with me
ear plugs but ended up not using them. The motel seems to be family
owned and the staff were very friendly. Overall it was clean, cozy,

Wonderful place to stay, close to Berkeley shopping and campus.
Excellent food and atmosphere, very helpful staff. It is always the little things that make such a big difference. For example, the bread with dinner was still warm from the oven, wonderful crisp crust and chewy interior.

As a local who just wanted to take a staycation, loved having a balcony,
but wished the front desk had informed me I had no water view. I would
have upgraded had I been informed.
We had the buffet breakfast on Sunday morning and had a great conversation with one of the wait staff from Tibet, she made you feel right at home.
I'd definitely return.
