  Everything about Old Downton Lodge was perfect. We could not have wished for a better place to have stayed. David the Manager came to greet us as we arrived and his friendly, courteous manner continued throught our stay. The setting was stunning and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed whilst providing guests with that something special. The setting is quiet and peaceful and the restored ancient buildings are indescribably beautiful.
