Staff, facilities, cleanliness, comfort, value for money, location were all excellent! I especially liked the modern, clean room and the TV in the bathroom :) The staff were incredibly professional and attentive too.

The wifi in the room was too weak to connect to

I found the place to be a bit noisy due to the christmas partys in the bar and I was on the top floor.

A great stay for business, but need to come back for leisure now! Staff on front desk are the best in Edinburgh, and I have stayed at a lot of hotels in Edinburgh

Nice interiors, comfortable, good shower, tea and coffee facilities. Dressing gowns. Good location.

Would have expected breakfast included for the price but, continental only on offer as added extra. Had a room on 2nd floor at the front, the noise on both Friday and Saturday morning from people outside from the nightclub next door was unacceptable

Rooms and location great

We are 2 couples in our 70s (1 with a triple bypass) and were on the third floor. It was quite a climb and we would have chosen differently if we had realised this.

The hotel and the room was gorgoues bathroom was lovely , the staff where very attentive anything you needed they sorted the resterant was very nice too , the hotel was smack bang in the centre so no need to travel for anything , had an amazing weekend would go and stay there again

The noise outside woke me up a few times but this wasn't the hotels fault and for the price you would expect breakfast to be included

The massage chair, the bath with loads of hot water, the bed with nice plump pilows, the TV at end of the bed, plenty wardrobe space :)

No lift, not a big prob for us but could be in a few more years

Very central location for a lot of the main attractions, 'Steak' restaurant next door is defiantly worth trying! Try Urbanangel or Treacle for breakfast less than 5 minute walk from the hotel. Will stay here again!

Location was excellent for the Play House and also the shopping, bars & cafe's.

The shower head soaked the floor, and the milk was off but they brought another one straight away but that was slightly off too although it was still in date so no morning tea or coffee,had to go out to buy one didn't expect that for £125 per night.

The service was excellent and the room was perfect! We went to see the lion king in the playhouse so the hotel was the perfect location! It was also a good walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

We were on the top floor and had a lovely view from our room. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Very close to the city centre.

No lift, so it was a bit of a trek to our room!

Staff very friendly. Equipement of the room (TV with SKY, Wifi,...), design bathroom, nice shower. Even had a GHD hairstraitner upon request. View from the room.

Hotel staff were lovely, always smiling and on the day of our departure offered to keep our luggage to one side so we could go and enjoy Edinburgh without having to drag our luggage around and collect it later! Room was very modern and quite big aswell! Equipped with pretty much anything you could need, hairdryer with different changeable heads, even champagne and wine glasses and a range of coffees and teas for the morning! Walk in/rainfall shower was out of this world, easy to adjust the heat settings aswell. Bed was very comfy!!

Wifi did not work at all, Sky/3D tv only had 4 channels that we could use but this didn't bother us too much as we were out and about most of the time anyway. Window in bathroom was only glazed on the bottom half meaning we had to cover up the top half of the window with a towel to make sure the building directly across from us couldn't peek!

Inspiring décor, good attention to small room details, fabulous bathroom, comfortable bed, great location, quality restaurant serving conveniently late. Loads of stairs to get you fit

Loads of stairs (:-) No breakfast, even though they have an amazing restaurant. A coffee and croissant in this sophisticated setting would have perfectly sufficed. Bed- end TV too large in relation to viewing distance (for those who want to look after their eyesight).

The hotel was very central and the boutique style was lovley. The bar was pleasant and we managed to get patked outside (although we did keep having to return to feed the meter). Staff were friendly and the price was reasonable for a city.

The room at the front of the hotel was very noisy. It was very hot and there was no air conditioning so we had to sleep with the window open. The noise all night was unbelievable. There was also a congregation of drunks on the grass in front of the hotel. Next time a larger room at the rear of thehotel would be better. We booked as the hotel was advertised as B&B but breakfast was a mini croissant!

The hotel room was restful, nicely decorated and the bed was comfy.

The room was a but noisy but not too bad. Some of the bathroom fittings had come loose. It wasn't obvious how to switch on certain lights. And we couldn't get the TV to work.

Very well furnished hotel in an excellent position with a very comfortable lounge.

The room was not ready when we arrived at 5 o'clock. The en suite flooded when we used the shower so that the rest of the shower room became unusable. On the second morning of our stay there was no hot water and nobody answered the phone at reception when we rang. We would really like a response from the hotel about this.

All... The hotel was great and breakfast is a small nice treat. Would of eaten next door at their restaurant but was a little pricey. Sure it was good like the hotel (maybe next time)

Traffic outside and loud drunks passing late on but that's not the hotels fault.. Also some rooms are behind doors with no instruction to what's behind the door (our room was behind one of these and I went up and down the stairs 4 times looking for my room.

Boutique, quiet,small,intimate, convenient for upmarket New Town.

Lack of toiletries eg Shower cap. Lack of lift, so definitely not suitable for the elderly. Poor 'breakfast',pastry and coffee: tea/juice should also be offered! Traffic noise, although we were at rear of hotel which is quieter.

the exit from the main door. my wife went over on her ankle and damaged her ankle ligaments .the cause of that was gap in the the first two slabs as you exit the main door of the hotel.we both ended up at edinburgh accident and emergency on the monday morning at 7am

The location is perfect. The hotel itself is stunning, the murals on the walls of the rooms are gorgeous. Very modern and kitted out with technology. My favorite was the rain shower, i could have stayed longer quite happily.

Friendly staff, good room size and excellent bathroom. We arrived late 10:20 pm and yet they were happy to make us food which was very tasty from the restaurant next door.

It was a little noisy but we were in a room on the top floor at the back of the hospital so we did not stop us sleeping.

shower in the katrina suite was incredible. The room was luxurious and the staff so nice it made me want to well up. We are a young couple and turned up a tiny bit hung over and I felt intimidated looking so aweful in such a beautiful place but the staff wer so nice and welcoming. i searched hours for the perfect place to take my boyfriend and this was perfect. He loved it and so did I. DEFFINATELY RECOMMEND. STAY HERE.

I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed my stay. The room was outstanding the bed was beyond comfy and the staff were absolutely brilliant. The hotel was beyond our expectations and we will definitely be staying again.

Not too far from Waverely Station (10min walk). Very nice staff. Room was very modern, stylish and comfortable. Shower was great. Bed was comfortable. Had free wifi and Sky TV.

What a gorgeous hotel! The room was lovely; we stayed in Loch Fyne which had a roll top bath and a rainshower shower, a massive 3DHD TV with DVD player and free sky tv, bathrobes, lots of room and an amazing view! The gourmet continental breakfast in bed was amazing (I think this is being phased out as they are under new management but was a real plus point to still have it for our stay) and the cocktail lounge was fabulous. Also the staff were really helpful and friendly.

The room was contemporary and first impressions had a real wow factor. The bed was very comfortable and the tv in the bathroom was a great idea.

The WiFi didn't work and the shower was either scalding or freezing so couldn't use that either! There was no milk to go with the tea and coffee!

The hotel had a unique and modern design, extremely friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble. We visted the adjoining restaurant 'STEAK' and although it was quite expensive the food and service was worth every penny. We stayed in the room Loch Rannoch which featured a comfy king sized bed, a large flat screen TV with Sky, modern bathroom with huge walk in shower and despite other reviews plently of hot water! We would highly recommed staying here, was perfect for exploring Edinburgh's attractions and shops.

It was slightly noisy at night, due to the traffic, however this did not affect our sleep. This was expected though, as the hotel is located just out of the centre. No option for a cooked breakfast. The above did not not spoil our stay and again we would highly recommed staying here.
