The location is excellent, and many rooms have great views of the river. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and this hotel is certainly the best value you can find in Rockhampton. -

I found the Motel quite a surprise- the rooms where modern , fresh ,
clean. The bed was very comfortable and the Motel location - no road
noise - which left you well rested. I had room service - and cominents

The hotel Manager was totally awesome, friendly and welcoming as we had travelled 5 hours to get there and nothing was too much trouble, Dined at Motel 98 Steakhouse restaurant and did not book and it was fully booked out and he fitted us in and the meal was exceptional best we have ever tasted.

They were very helpful. I had a late check in and needed extra space for my trailer. The key was left out for me and two car spaces available. -
owner supplied us with plates and cutlery when we requested some. Also gave us a downstairs unit when a upstairs one had been allocated.

Loved the heritage look, the very comfortable king size four poster bed and how the room was decorated including lighting, carpet, furniture and bedding - the whole experience!
Was concerned when I saw the train tracks so close that we'd be woken by passing trains but you could hardly hear them.

When we checked in the receptionist asked if we had stayed with them before, when we replied no..she quickly said "I am excited for you to see your room".
What's not to like...fantastic decor, attention to detail, delicious breakfast, great location, enthusiastic staff.
This is ideal for a romantic getaway.
Will definitely stay again!

Stayed in recently decorated first floor accommodation which was large and well serviced. Good location, quiet area yet only 10 minutes walk to main street and river. Try the Heritage where food/beer is good and not expensive.
