The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

Ground floor unit easily accessible. Only slept there, so only one issue
- the lack of an electric blanket on one of the beds. Great location

for sleeping. Does depend what you are comparing it to. Have paid $50
for lovely b & B's elsewhere. Certainly wouldn't want to
have paid any more for this room type. Good parking availability.
Overall a satisfactory one night stay.

Situated in the midway of thr slope, it js close to city center and yet won't be noisy. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed staying in here. There was a funny cute fat cat accompanying us when we check out. The cat didn't let us walk ahead of it, so funny.

We arrived around midnight and were late for check in and had no oportunity to call the staff to let us in so we slept in the car first night. The owner was nice to understand our situation and charged half of the price. Thanks for that. The hostel was clean, which was most important for us -

We have stayed here twice. The rooms have an ensuite and the beds are comfortable. -
The staff at the Welcome Stranger are terrific. They are extremely helpful and very welcoming. We travelled with a 16 month old and found that our room was well setup to accomodate not only the adults but the baby as well. The food was extremely good value for money and delicious to boot. It is also conveniently locate close to all attractions within Hobart.
