  Hotel 414 was great! We visited in July 2013 for 8 days. We found all the staff to be super friendly and helpful. They gave us several maps, made recommendations for nearby restaurants and Broadway shows and helped us book our train to DC. The breakfast was great! Cereals, croissants, bagels, yoghurt, muffins, tea, coffee, juice etc etc. Everythin... what people say » g you need! I loved that we had a fridge in our room too because I could buy my own lactose free milk and keep it in there to bring down for breakfast - 1.Great location in Midtown, it's right near everything; broadway shows,public transport, numerous restaurants, etc. 2. It's quiet; we had a room on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard and there was little noise from outside, or, from other rooms 3. It's reasonably priced. We stayed for 11 days and the total accommodation bill was great for a central Manhattan hotel 4. It feels more like a B & B than a big hotel which I much preferred 5. A good continental breakfast was included in the room

  This hotel was well located within walking distance of Times Sqaure and also near to the main subway and bus routes which could take you around Manhattan and the rest of New York city.   Fantastic, safe location just a few short minutes by foot to Times Square and in the centre of Restaurant Row - in-house restaurant was great too and we had a few meals there - including room service.   Very nice flat at Times Square which provides the possibility to experience life in NYC much more than a "normal" hotel room. Price was very reasonable for the quality of the services offered (modern apartment with plenty of space, full set of cooking / eating tools, two high quality TV sets including one good size LCD screen, free WiFi in the room... what people say » , small but nice and clean gym) - It was like having your own ny apartment just steps from everything! Wehave stayed at several other trendy 4 star hotels in the area and thiswas far better than any of those! As a plus they offered Freecomputer/printer/internet use.   We loved the hotel, the complimentary breakfast was a perfect start to the day, the fact we were upgraded to a suite - both rooms, the friendliness of the staff everything was no trouble and the central location was ideal for the theatres, restaurants and easy of getting to anywhere else. They upgraded our room to a junior suite for the same price. The concierge was very helpful, and the cleaning staff even took the trouble to put fresh ice in our ice bucket, where I was trying to keep a container of yogurt fresh. We booked initially for the location and were amazed at how many other benefits there were to staying at The Michaelangelo.

  The location is brilliant indeed - some few steps from the Times Square. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would like to specially mention and thank Trinita, who checked me in much earlier that she was supposed to. It is a perfect choice once you are not going to spend all day long in a room and only need some rest after sightseeing. Will definitely stay here again when next time in ny. - Wonderful location 5 minutes walk from Times Square. Small but comfortable and very clean room. Facilities like shower, hair-dryer and alarm clock worked properly. Air- conditioning and a fan-heater were provided. Really lovely staff on the front desk - they went to a lot of trouble working out transport arrangements for us and finding out about museums we wanted to visit. Simple but nice continental breakfast.

  Every thing was perfect , I have liked the staff attitude and kindness, they were very helpful and appreciative of the fact that we were Muslims and don' t eat ham so they served my family the required food during breakfast without pork( which they coud have apologized for not providing) also my wife lost her credit card and they helped us contact... what people say » ing the bus company and ensured leaving them the required message . My wife needed to warm her drinks and some times the food and kept using the micro - I went to nyc for a weekend just to visit art museums, I chose Hampton Inn as it is walking distance to MoMa. Thanks to Sandra's advice, clear instructions and map, I easily found my way to 5 other museums. Sandra also gave me a tooth brush and sewing ket (I lost a button and forgot my toothbrush). Loved the big bowl of apples at the front desk, and although coffee in rooms I loved the 24 hour coffee station (as traveling solo so it was nice place to have a chat with others), loved the breakfas

  The best hotel experience I have ever had. Marvellous staff, good breakfast, always something to eat and drink in Rick´s Cafe. Quiet rooms, luxury bathrooms, cleaning every day, very polite staff, the best situated hotel in town right in the middle of everything. If I ever go back to New York I will absolutely go back to this hotel. Stayed 5 nights... what people say » with my sister in November 2008. - Staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Hotel,room and bathroom were beautiful. Enjoyed and appreciated complimentary wineandcheese offered before show, allowed us have leisurely late meal after show. Breakfast was great. We were able to leave our luggage to shop for a while the next day, which was very helpful. Overall REALLY liked hotel, would go back!!
