After a very friendly, warm and efficient welcome we were shown to our room (558 in The Derby Tower). There were 4 of us on our party (my sister and I and our elderly parents) so we were looking for a condo with lots of space, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. We were extremely pleased with the condo we were allocated. It was very clean, the maid service was excellent and in very good condition. I had also asked for a room with a view of The Strip and we got one....perfect. We couldn't.
all reviews » We booked here because of the central location and oh boy we were not disappointed. Our suite overlooked the Bellagio and its fountain, Cesars Palace, Paris and the Strip in between. The building is connected to the Cosmopolitain and uses its parking garage (just enter the Cosmopolitan parking and go down to level b3, the Jockey elevators are in the middle of the floor). The 2-bedroom suite was spacious and very clean, small but nice bathrooms and kitchenette with extensive equipment in good sh. Everything! The staff were GREAT! The room was huge and clean, beds were super comfy and the shower was one of the best we had in the states. A fantastic bonus with the Hotel is that they're literally "attached" the fabulous Cosmopolitan. Due to this, you get direct lift access straight into the Cosmo and you have access to the amazing pool and parties there. Definitely recommend this place!. I liked it that since I was travelling with another family that we were all together in one room and that when we had a guest there was a place separate from the bedrooms to entertain her. It was also close to Las Vegas Blvd. which was like the main road so it was easy for us to just walk around the area. Convenience was such a big factor in this trip. We like the location because it is in the middle of the strip.If you get rooms facing the Bellaggio, it is an awesome view of the fountain, strip and mountains. We also like that there is a kitchen and bbq at the pool for meals, as well as the shuttle to the grocery store. Facilities,central location without noise,helpful staff, generous living space & furnishings. Value for money is exceptional. We returned to Jockey Club for the last two days of our stay in USA and will do so again when in Las Vegas. Great location. Non smoking, not a casino. Staff very friendly, always kept clean. The units have everything that you need, full kitchen so you don't have to eat out all the time. They provide a bus to the shops & outlet centre. I like the location, the budget, the comfort. I especially liked that when our room reservation was messed up Don was able to assist us and get it all situated. That's great customer service and will keep us coming back. The location is supurb. Staff were very helpful. It was excellent to have free wifi & printing. The shuttle shopping trip was also a great asset. Being able to use the pool at The Cosmopolitan was a thankful bonus. Well stocked rooms, although I didn't use anything other than the iron. Plenty of room. Other reviewers online said that place was dirty and had poor service, but my group had three rooms, and all were just great. The location was good, right in the middle of everything, make sure you ask for a room with a view. We had a great view of the lights and fountains from our bedroom window. There was practically little or nothing at all to dislike. Although the kitchens and bathrooms appear to be updated some of the furniture and carpeting especially need replacing. They need to be updated to stay in the race with other hotels. I didn't like that the front desk didn't check on our reservations well enough to notice they gave us a smaller room then we paid for. I also wasn't impressed with our room this time. The furniture looked like someone sat in oil first. The rooms were not of the standard shown on the website. The renovations had not reached the rooms we were given. It was very dated. The first room we were given was dull as it looked out onto a brick wall. Fortunately, we were moved to a better, lighter outlook. The website misrepresents the rooms. The pool area was disappointing as the sun never shines on it!!. Hard to get around within the facility due to layout and lack of signage. Since this is a condo, I realize the owners would probably rather not have it look and feel like a hotel, and I understand that. Most of the staff were great, I did find that it was a little hard to get information from the desk, not forthcoming, had to ask lots of questions. Reception staff unwelcoming and incompetent. Couldn't find our reservation on arrival, couldn't order a taxi on departure. Some suites (including ours) have a view out onto a blank wall. Only one of the receptionists working in the evening shift was unfriendly and not helpful at all. (An asian female) Otherwise, all staff are very helpful and understanding. Décor a little out-dated. Design a little bit out dated. Other than that everything was fine. Could use some updated furnishings. No view. Hard to get in and out of. Self Parking was a challenge. More modernization probably on the lobby area. -some furnishings looking a bit tired and worn. I requested something on lower levels for handicap...promised but not delivered. The location is hard to identify initially when I drove in and made a few rounds of turns wrongly. Expensive rooms hat looked out onto a concrete wall at the back of the hotel. Hotel is split into two buildings that are not connected. Our suite didn't have any good view. It's just a big concrete wall despite requesting for a view. The TV's are outdated as well!. Parking was awkward for loading/unloading but considering the value and location I would still recommend this location to others. 1. We could not find this hotel. Address shown was 3700 Las Vegas Blvd. However, it was a Cocmopolitan hotel at this address. Your hotel was hiding behind Cosmopolitan, and it took us a few stops and asking people around to find this hotel. 2.One receptionist was kind and polite, however, she spoked so fast, that we could hardly understud her. Very high grocery pages at hotel's mini-mart. View of wall 10ft from window Room smelt a bit musty on arrival. Rooms could use a little updating, nicer furniture, larger TV in bedroom. Our privacy was "invaded" by a cable television crew that arrived at 9 A.M. on the day we were checking out, and stayed even after we did check out. Valet parking starts at 12 midnight, so you pay twice (if you check in at 8 P.M., then again when you leave the next day). The furniture was dirty and I had to cover couch and chair with sheets. Carpet was torn and dirty. Derby tower to far from reception and in a seperate building. Nothing. Feels a bit worn Could use some renovation. The view was bad, but that's not a big deal!. The room I had wasent that great the bathroom door didn't lock the air conditioner would work on living room and not the room. I'm not from the city so maybe I wasn't expecting it but the room was a real pain in the rear end to get to. Parking was also very difficult. The staff isn't the best at explaining things or helping out and they tell you it is easy to get to. We had to park and walk about 5 miles it seemed to even get to our room. I will not be staying here again, but rather at a hotel right off the strip like the Royal Resort. A lot less hassle for sure. Not warm welcome Not convinent to get Taxi. Hard to find Limited features.
