reception staffs were friendly and welcoming; we got upgraded to a suite and loved the spacious room as well as the pool facility; hotel is right on the gorgeous beach with a nice golfing course; overall a great stay definitely lives up to the Ritz-Carlton standard. Loved the staff, the room, the facilities and the view. The pool was spacious and luxurious and the staff serving the pool area was efficient and quick. The lobby itself was beautiful and the room was one of the largest we stayed in on our honeymoon.

Fabulous location, well away from the hurly burly, with great staff and facilities. - The service and staff - the best in Maui I've seen. - A beautiful property. If you want, you need to pay to stay in a cabana (us100 for a day). A good local shuttle but beyond a few miles had to use taxi's. - Kai, the sushi place was pretty weak and hugely overpriced, a travesty when Sansei is a block away. - Golfer's paradise - but for beach freaks, the area gets more cloud and rain than other parts of Maui... Expensive. Long distance from the hotel to the beach. Although the hotel is beach front it's a 10 minute walk (down hill) from the hotel lobby to the beach. Carpets should be change. Lousy food in coffee shop and cold. Little to price for what we got, And had to fight to get some attention and better service !. Not as nice as you would think for a Ritz Carlton. The food was not good and overpriced. I thought the facilities were nice, but nothing special. The rooms were nice, but the bed was old and lumpy. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, it just was not up to the standards of other Ritz Carlton's that I have stayed at throughout the world. Shower nozzle is old and fixed. A hose type is preferable.
