Excellent service, staff always very friendly and ready to help. The beds were very comfortable, the balcony and the panorama were excellent. We also booked two excursions (with their partners) at the desk in the lobby, both days were great! And the luggage storage and hospitality room allowed us to conveniently get ready to leave, long after our checkout in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
all reviews » The room was quiet, bed comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was always cleaned well. The location was very convinent, bus service and walking friendly. The breakfast were good (coffee excellent). The lobby was very nice for having coffee and reading the AM paper. Again it was nice and quiet with wee view of ocean, Diamond head and city. Could leave the sliding door open all night. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and quick to reply to any request or question I had. Loved the free upgrade as the view was out of this world. Delicious and hearty (and free!)breakfast is much appreciated as I'm a busy traveler with limited time. Very close to the main action of Waikiki and less than 5 mins to the beach. Have already recco'd this hotel to friends traveling in Feb. Room was very nice and very clean, Staff was super friendly and very helpful, view from our room was nice. The stuff in check-in counter is really good ,when I check-in and found my room which is ocean view but small space, I ask if there is any other choice for bigger room,he change me a city view room really big and no upgrade cost. Columns in the small parking lot made it difficult to get into with a large vehicle. But they have a few spots away from the columns if you can get them. Small pool, could do with 24hr service menu. Ocean view was very restricted by other buildings in the way. Next visit we would choose a city view or mountain view room for a lower room rate. Cant fault it. a bit of a wait for the lifts at times. nothing. Nothing. Very chaotic and busy in the beach area. Away from the beach, beautiful and our tours were excellent in that we saw a better side of Honolulu. The breakfast is a little simple. The lifts were EXTREMELY slow!. Having to go to another hotel for our first night because they had overbooked. Very busy and crowded at breakfast. Breakfast starts at 0630. Missed out on 2 of 3 breakfasts because of early starts. Nil. Bathroom facilities need updating with poor shower/bath combination. More effort in making the breakfast area pigeon free. Elevators were a little slow. Probably need another elevator in such a tall building. No kettle for hot water in the room, no corkscrew. I still have to find out why the amenities incl. minibar are so minimal in US hotels. Coffee, organization of breakfast was like a free for all, cleaning of bathroom as dark hairs left over and I am blonde. Size of room. Swimming pool area too small. Didn't receive my gold passport points for the stay. They took my number but didn't inform me it wouldn't be used. I asked for an email receipt so didn't know until I was home. The homeless people who were everywhere. There was a minor issue with the bathtub but it didn't detract from the comfort level. Internet appeared slow on two occasions but who goes on a vacation to constantly be on the Internet?. little bit noisy street,. Room was very small, the hotel did not have a "Hyatt" feel to it. More like a three star plus hotel. Small pool, long wait for elevator. poor breakfast. The lift took a long time to come..... Breakfast was not very organized. Too many times the carts with food/plates were in the way of the flow of the people trying to get food. The breakfast sandwiches were always cold. To far from beach. the breakfast on level 3 is included ... but not excellent .. it was little bit poor. Breakfast being attacked by birds was not much fun!. Pigeons on the dining. Breakfast was average, but ok. serious bird nuisance at outdoor breakfast,mainly caused by people leaving food/dishes on tables,some mornings short staffed. More information on outside transport (Local Buses, Trolley Buses & Shuttle Buses) separate to the tourist information desk which didn't have information on them.
