  I used to be a travel guide writer, and have reviewed many, many hotels. So -- my standards are pretty high, and my tolerance pretty low. But my wife and I were delighted with America's Best Value Inn. Their marquee said something like: "Try us -- you'll be pleasantly surprised." and we were that and more. Very clean rooms, newer furnishings, ... what people say » etc. A very pleasant and comfortable stay. I'd say this is the best value for the money in Grand Junction. - We were very impressed with the staff. We had 3 different employees help us with questions and all were very kind and understanding. We checked out at 5 in the morning to catch our flight, and it was delayed, so the hotel let us back in our room to give us a couple more hours of sleep which was greatly appreciated. We will be staying here again! - Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was an indoor pool and a guest laundry facility. The clerk was able to give us a ground- floor room, even though we had forgotten to ask for that when we made the reservation. And we were able to access the free wifi in our room. There was a lovely restaurant across the street and others nearby.

We are active so we don't spend much time in a hotel/motel room, therefore, we don't want to spend money for a space we don't occupy long-term, yet we want a site that is clean and well-maintained.
