We had such a wonderful time. Joyce and Leo are awesome, made us feel so comfortable. We enjoyed our cozy bedroom (without a tv, thank goodness) and the comfortable feel of this beautiful antique home. From the woodwork to the décor, it was so classy, elegant, cozy, yet manly enough for my husband (haha). You could not ask for a better host and hostess. The location of the B&B placed us perfeclty between old Colorado and Manitu Springs so we were able to do a lot of window shopping. The room was extremely quiet and even though we knew there were other guest, we never really heard them until we sat down with them at breakfast. I was co. I really loved staying at the Spurs and Lace Inn for a number of reasons, but it was the sweetness and smiles of owners Leo and Joyce that put it over the top. Staying 1 night in a very historical mansion located right in the heart of Old Colorado City, next to an Old Firehouse and across from Pikes Peak and Red Rock and historical shops for the era of 1880 western Colorado. There was not anything we did not like. our room was a bit small. there was no sitting room for guests to visit. visiting was restricted to breakfast (which was fine) but it would have been nice to sit and share stories--but not all bed and breakfasts are not the same!. No dislikes at all. There was nothing we did not enjoy or like in this place. Everything is perfect, although 2 small things can be fixed to make it even better. The pillows on the bed aren't too good (very flat and they are crispy) and when someone just had a shower, we didn't had warm water for an hour or more. I didn't like having to leave. I got quite sad when I had to leave back to Canada. It would have been nice to have a living room to gather in. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing negative at all. Willl be happy to come back again. No bar soap; however there was liquid for your need. Our bathroom had a strong mildew scent but no visable mildew. Absolutely nothing. The eye appeal of the outside not the greatest..but once you are inside it was great. There is not one thing I can think of that was bad about this place...
