From the minute we pulled into the car port we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff that were not pushy in anyway. All they wanted to do was help us unload our luggage, park the car and point us in the right direction and once inside the front desk staff took over on the helpful, friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone and we will be staying here again. Thank You Very Much, Larry & Wendy Coyne.
all reviews » We went to watch the Chicago Bears play. The hotel was nice, walking distance to Soldier Feild. Clean & modern hotel, cabs lined up outside to take you anywhere your little heart desires, friendly staff, and we booked through letsbookhotel.com and a received free parking bonus. I compared rates with another large booking company, and letsbookhotel.com was cheaper. I will definately book through them again!. The Staff was very friendly and took the time to help with places to visit in Chicago. I was thrilled to be able to check in earlier so I could get settled in to my room before meetings. The location was perfect for walking to the Convention Center. My room was clean and the mattres and down blanket was wonderful! I had a good nights sleep. I would definitely stay at this Hyatt property again. The staff was extremely nice. I had a situation where a medical emergency required me to leave on the next available flight. As a stranger to the "big city", the staff assisted me with getting transportation back to the airport at 2:30 am as well as making my cancellation easy and painless. I wish I could have stayed longer...but I will be back. We enjoyed our stay. The staff and other services were very excellent. Yes I would come back again. The registration staff was friendly and accomodating, especially when my booking agent made a mistake and they had to search for my reservation. The room I ended up with was luxurious, more than meeting my expectations. The location was great for the ala conference I was working at. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a problem with my original room which was dealt with promptly. The packaging room received a number of parcels for ahead of and during my stay and were extremely helpful as i needed to get them over to the exhibition venue. Literally everything about the place was amazing. The building itself was immaculate and the staff treated everyone professionally. Even the cleaning ladies were funny. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone, no doubt in my mind it was the best hotel I've stayed at. I liked the 24-hour shop that sold various items including food, medicine and trinkets. Included in Metra Line stops to make it easy tot ravel downtown without needing a taxi. The giant king size bed was very comfortable and perfect for a long day of walking through the city. Chicago is the best city in America. NYC and LA may be bigger than Chicago, but they are not better. The hotel was far enough away from the super busy areas so it was quite at night. The city busses are right out front, they are fast and convenient, not to mention cheap. The room was incredible. Very spacious, updated and clean. The staff was super nice. We have stayed many places in Chicago, but they are usually more expensive and smaller. It was very close to Soldier Field and the museums, but not downtown (for better or worse). The hotel was very clean and budget friendly. We took the bus to go shopping which was not a problem. With the money we saved by not staying in a hotel right downtown we were able to take a few tours and enjoy the restaurants. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. I loved the convenience for visiting the convention (C2E2). Our room was very comfortable. Hotel was very close to the museums my family wanted to visit. Plenty of food choices close by. And I never had so many doors open for me when I was coming and leaving the hotel during th ebtire dtay. My room was on the newly renovated 16th floor of the North Tower. Everything was pristine! For a city hotel, the staff was particularly friendly, and seemed truly concerned about the comfort of their guests. The room I stayed in had been recently renovated/modernized so it was in great condition. Overall I though the room was very nice. I am also a big fan of Chicago and really enjoy the City. As with all Hyatts we stay at -- the bedding is wonderful --so comfortable. And at times, the hotel offers great discounted prices. Great views of the Lake !!. I loved the new remodeling of the rooms. The staff were courteous and helpful. The Michigan Avenue bus stop is almost right outside the door. I liked the room. It was nice and clean and comfortable. The water pressure was nice and it was a convenient walk to the convention center. The entire stay was incredible. The beds were extremely comfortable, bathrooms were spacious, location and amenities all top notch. The bed was so comfy. We got a crib delivered to our room as promised. The hotel was close to the Field Museum and Shedd aquarium. My daughter and I went to a concert at Soldier Field and it was within walking distance and we both felt very safe. They did there best to accommodate us after we didn't get the king size room we thought we had purchased. The slider to the bathroom door is very difficult to open from the inside after it latches shut -- could use a better handle to grip if it is going to be that hard. (Room 796). There was a $50 hold up front for each night we were staying for incidentals, which was a lot of money to have to wait to have credited back to my account. We had water leaking through our bathroom vent from above floors each morning. Lack of rapid transit access. They need to build an elevated train station at Cermak on the south side elevated. It was hard to get to the west look because the #3 bus goes up Michigan ave. Also the commuter rail line next to the hotel should be turned into a rapid transit line. It goes right to millennium park and the museum of science and industry. Hopefully the city fathers will make these improvments. I look forward to seeing progress when I visit again. Don't order room service. Chicago has wonderful food... just not here. The hotel made up for the bad food on the bill, but we wished we had gone out. One day our maid was practically begging us to say we did not want maid service. We were trying to get dressed and she's at our door saying "room is clean so no maid service, room is clean so no maid service. Like give me a break!!. No hot tub. Pool was kind of cold. Prices were kinda high for food and drinks but that's to be expected. Bar was crazy busy on Saturday night but that's not your fault. I had to wait over 20 minutes for 1 drink. But you did have around 6-8 bartenders working. They could have been a little bit more friendly. That breakfast wasnt included and cost extra. But its ok cause starbucks are everywhere and cheaper. The location wasn't in walking distance to all the downtown shops and sights, but the #3 bus stopped right in front of hotel and got you there in a matter of minutes. There is no train station nearby and it is in the southern part of town, where a bus is not very safe to take to the trains. The hotel was overrun with rude and loud high school girls on a nike convention. There weren't a lot of restaurants nearby. We had no remote for our tv in our room. We were also unsure what was available at no charge to use. nothing. You could easily hear the people in the next room through a vent in the wall near the bed, made sleeping difficult with loud neighbors. Washrooms were dirty; previous guest's hair were all over floor and soap/shampoo stains all over the shower stall. attention to detail in housekeeping was not up to par, for such a nice room there shouldn't be hairs all over the bathroom floor, makes one wuestion cleanliness everywhere. a simple lint roller would have eliminated the issue. Perfect for the McCormick Convention centre, a bit of a hike from downtown. Location is a couple of miles from downtown Chicago. The restaurants were over-priced and under staffed. The employees were brusque and unfriendly. There was absolutely nothing we didn't LOVE about this hotel!. Chicago is the most expensive city that we stay and do business with, this includes hotels, parking, food and beverage, etc. Nothing around there within walking distance to eat at or shop. But there are taxis right out front of the hotel to take you where you want to go. Out of the way from everything - needed to take a taxi to restaurants. Some staff not really helpful. Requested room with a view - got a room of another part of the hotel. Too far from center city. Getting a Taxi was a chore Should have a regular shuttle service to town center. Would have been nice to have a jaccusi tub. I have visited other hotels in the same category & price range that have this amenity. Put address in GPS...landed us in an undesirable area on MLK...when I checked in I got the idea this happens often. Don't know the answer but it is important...should be able to put your address in. They did not have our reservation in the computer. If I wouldn't of printed off my paper from you guys We wouldn't of got our room or it would of cost way more money. I wasn't impressed with the staff. My credit card was overcharged, the room per night was more than I was quoted on letsbookhotel.com. Around pool very slippery when walking.
