After reading the reviews and seeing the pictures, we expected to see a modest hotel in a desert. But when we arrived to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to see a really beautiful hotel and professional staff. The hotel is very clean, well decorated and really well thought. Being an only 2-stories building it has an elevator. The breakfast was rich, diverse and tasty. The pool area is nice, you don't have to deal with towel cards, the clean towels were carefully rolled on the pool chairs.
all reviews » I like the location. It is very quiet and has good facilites for the price. Nice pool. Great for a weekend away. You can also access the dunes from behind the hotel so we go and take a bbq - dine in the dunes a few feet from civilization, toilets and showers then retire to a comfy bed for the evening. The Date Festival takes place in July - Very intereting insight into the world of dates! If you are going for that book early they are at 100% occupancy. The location on a hill overlooking Mezaira on one side and the houndreds of miles of barren sand dunes of Rub Al Khali (the empty quarter) on the other side, is really nice. The place have a feeling of old luxury resort over it. You can just imagine hurds of English aristocrats playing tennis and sipping Gin Tonics all over the garden a long time ago... Oh, and there is a really relaxed camel somewere out there in the garden... The location is superb and the view of the dunes from the hotel amazing. The rooms are clean, large and have been modernised. The breakfast buffet was better than we expected and quite extensive. the gym has good life fitness equipment and the pool was heated. Fantastic location on edge of desert. Lovely pool and tennis facilities. Quad bike hire for the desert, and the hotel can arrange 4x4 safaris as well. Staff extremely helpful, especially Summer !!. I liked the location. The hotel was well located and the staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet was great. Great sauna and swimming pool well maintained. great swimming pool ! Lovely meals! Camel milk and date smoothie Peregrine falcon at reception and camel in the grounds. Relaxing atmosphere, excellent buffet breakfast and dinner, great location at the edge of the empty quarter of the Arabian peninsula. Late checkout to 2pm given with no hesitation. Proximity to the annual Al Dhafra camel festival in madinet Zayed......we usually camp in the Liwa but the hotel was a nice change. the surrounding desert is stunning. very friendly staff though the building is old, there are renovations ongoing. Good location in the centre of Liwa, close to the dunes. Literally nothing to complain about. I stayed there in Ranadam. It is a very conservative area of Abu Dhabi so the inclusive buffet breakfast was hidden away and less then buffet. Room service was avaiable though. They were a bit sloppy when they built the place and it feels somewhat old and worn. They have all these facilities, playground, tennis courts, fountains and a really nice park, but it´s really just left to fall apart. This could be an amazing place if it was restored to it´s former glory!. Nothing - having read some previous reviews, I was abit anxious but we had a very enjoyable experience and would rate the hotel more as a 4 star than a 3 star. Nothing. Too much AC in rooms to my liking. There was no longer food in the buffet when we were coming towards 9:50 whereas it is supposed to close at 10 :30. The jaccuzzi was too cold and the steam room was not working well. Can't fault it. Great value for money and very relaxing after a long drive from Ras Al Khaimah. I didn't like the fact that extra 10% and 6% were added to my dinner check. nothing. A little bit far from Dubai. No hot water in my room, However next day this was repaired. No WiFi in Room. No Carpets in Room. Housekeeping needs to clean room properly - tables dusty and bathroom not cleaned properly. Carpet and lobby looks old. Cafe is too small. Breakfast was not good. Balcony was very dusty and hence effectively meaningless. View from rooms was not good. The service at night was very very bad. "Freshly brewed" coffee which was in fact Nescafe. All was great. I Miss the brown rice or wholewheat local bread, white all the other Food was so delicious and healthy. Unable to book quad bikes. Few people were staying in the hotel so consequently the buffet was not operating for the evening meal, only off the menu orders. This was not expressed at time of booking or at check in. Not clean. needs facelift and renewal. The hotel is rather run down. old hotel, needs updating. Compared with near Talal Liwa is not good value for money. Lack of food choice. Only one restaurant, more like a cafe. Nothing to do except sand dunes. laundry man entering the room with master key while room is occupied without checking if the room is vacant or not.damaging the privacy completely. breakfast menu. Facilities and hotel in general need updating.
