The staff were extremely helpful and suggested that we change our roomto meet my mother's needs (she'd hurt her foot at work and is scared oftravelling in lifts so we'd have needed to climb 6 floors to get to ourroom). They couldn't do enough to help and with the stress of Christmasthis really was a refreshing break from the norm!. travelling with 2 other frens, i booked one double room. however they gave me family room for the same discounted price as the twin room. room was very clean and comfortable and the room service for cesear salad was really great. ( i ordered every night of my stay). just in front of the river, i had the river veiw. it was great.

We did ring reception and were provided with a heater but this wasn't needed as the guy fixed the heating.The room was cold and we had to ring reception to ask how we turned the heating on. only problem was the car parking, we had to park in a multistorey around the corner as the hotels car park was full.Although I understand the reasons...the windows didnt open farenough...but that was more a regulation thing I think.....so not reallya complaint as such. Having to pay for parking. The price of drinks at the bar was unbelievable - £6 for a small glass of wine- outragous! £12 to park you car`in the hotel car park. Should be free to residents. The noise from construction at 8 AM on a Saturday. Do quiet work until at least 10.couldn't get into the car park but was ncp v nearby, same price. Nothing negative. Restaurant needs re furbishment not in keeping with the rest of the Hotel. The new showers are overhead and involve getting hair wet. It is unavoidable and ladies do not always want to wash hair everytime they have a shower.Unfortunately yes. It was extremely noisy outside for a Sunday evening with 'lager louts' screaming and swearing outside into the early hours of the morning. When I finally got to sleep the Refuse Vehicle arrived at 0650 hours! May I suggest when allocating rooms you allocate from the quietest room to the noisiest? I regret not asking for a quiet part of the hotel. where breakfast in your room was mentioned we found it misleading as it was only a continental breakfast. Unfortunately the fact it's being doneup, so it was covered inscaffolding and the workmen were drilling from 8:00am. Aesthetically the hotel could detract from potential customers.
