It's location is perfect,very central,ideal for touring the city on foot.

Not applicable to me but suspect there is not sufficient parking to service all hotel guests.Also I thought it was expensive until I found out how much local municipal parking was.

I loved everything about the hotel. Every member of staff was reallyhelpful and quite lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The bookingout time of 12 noon was realistic and breakfast between 7 and 11 wascertainly more civilised than some hotels. I would certainly staythere again.

The hotel is quite convenient to the medieval town of York and especially to Clifford's Tower. All staff we encountered were quite friendly. Breakfast was outstanding and there was a full range of hot and cold foods. The bed was comfortable and had ample pillows, and the room (a standard double) had a desk, two chairs, and a small table.

I dont usually stop at luxury hotels, but I spoilt myself for a change and found the experience fantastic. Wish I could do it all the time.

The location is very central giving easy access to the city centre and amenities. The breakfast was fantastic, and the views from the restaurant across to Cliffords Tower were lovely

I liked the location of the hotel and the breakfast was really nice and the choice was brilliant.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room as it was a 40th birthday. Even though this was a deluxe it was a bit on the small side.

Everyone very helpful

The room was on the top floor and there was a lot of noise from the central heating there was a tapping noise coming from above the roof that kept me awake. My sisters room was on the same floor but not noise.

Easy to find the hotel and great access to the city.

The car park was full on arrival so we had to park across the street. We arrived at 4 and had to wait around until after 6pm to put more money in to cover us until check out.

Room facilities

Reception was slow, understaffed and overly stretched. Huge queue to check in and check out with only 2 staff and other staff standing watching

One of the rooms was a fairly decent size and both rooms were smart and clean.

One of the rooms was much smaller than the other and had two single beds compared to two queen sized in the other room.
