The Eversley is a very clean, tidy and well looked after hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The various lounge areas felt particularly relaxing and makes it very easy to socialise with the other guests or find a more secluded area if one so desired. We loved the breakfasts. We liked the way you go for a stroll on the cliff-tops from the back entrance situated on the second floor! Some day I would like to stay at this hotel again.
all reviews » We were offered an upgrade on arrival to a premium room at a attractive price that was well worth it as the room was my larger and had a very comfy sofa. Staff were very friendly and wanted to help. Location was very good and only a short drive to the beech, easily walkable but would be uphill on way back. Will stay again if we go back to the Isle of Wight. We had a lovely time at the Eversley. It's a really relaxing place - we loved the pool and the reclining chairs. The room was great - lovely bedclothes and it was decently proportioned. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfasts were good. Unlike any other hotel I've ever stayed in, drinks at the bar were competitive. £3.50 for a G&T!. We liked the relaxed atmosphere. The pool in this very warm weather was great. Extra towels offered for the pool area were a good extra. Breakfast was very nice. hotel comfortable and relaxed food good but service was slow IOW is a nice area, first time in ventnor not sure if I would return to this location. Location, Value for money, friendly, quiet. Jacuzzi was clean. Loads of great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful. When staff saw we were not happy we were offered another room that was lovely. good location clean comfortable beds friendly staff. Room could have been a bit more soundproofed from outside noise but this was only a minor issue on the Friday night due to lots of noise outside the hotel that was out of anyone at the hotels control. The gym and jacuzzi were behind a locked door - which meant you couldn't even have a peek. You had to fill in a form first, and frankly I couldn't be bothered. the bedroom was very warm but then it was very warm everywhere. Our room had a bath with shower attachment which was rubbish. area has very steep hills and is not an area to easily walk about in. Window painted shut, so little ventilation (although didn't mention this to the staff - so cant really complain). I am sure they would have sorted it. Jacuzzi could have been warmer. Poor hot water in the morning for shower. No shower in our room but that is our preference others would love the roll top bath. Nothing of note. 2 dogs in room above running about at 7 am!. Nothing. Still had to walk to the beach and esplanade....but hey who cares its only a short walk. No negatives. n/a. breakfast room cold. Breakfast, the poached eggs were hard. When we first arrived we were put in room that was extremely hot, we couldn't work the shower and were told you had to turn the bath hot tap on to make it work. However .... see +. on arrival allocated room was not made up 2nd room lacked toilet roll holder and kettle 3rd room comfortable Generally the hotel is a little dated but comfortable. Room was very cold and had to ask for an electric heater on top of the central heating. Charge for using credit card, does not accept Amex and food in general poor (quality and taste).
