  Good Morning. I am not prone to writing such mails but I feel I have to make some comments about a recent stay at your Cliffden Hotel in Teignmouth from Friday 19th July to Sunday 21st. I have to say that having booked the hotel through a proprietary web site, we hadn’t realised the ‘’duality of purpose of the hotel, and were a little surprised to... what people say » meet so many ‘sight impaired’ people. This letter is to convey nothing but highest praise and to say we enjoyed our all too short stay. The tariffs - After reading some of the reviews, I was a little dubious but we arrived, checked in and it was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean and well stocked - we even had a fan which was much appreciated over the very hot weekend. My husband and I are in our 50's and it was our first weekend away with our two dogs. They too were made to feel very welcome. The gardens were lovely and we spent alot of time of the terrace which could have done with a little more TLC, but we loved i

  When arriving at Thornhill I found the owner very friendly and accommodating with my requests. The room was clean tidy and comfortable. I would be pleased to recommend this hotel to anyone. - My husband and i came to the Teignmouth area for our honeymoon and return for our 25th wedding anniversary. When we got to our room there was an anniversary card from Nicky and Brian.Nicky had also booked us a table at a local restaurent.Brian was a great chef and breakfast was very good. They were both very helpful and friendly. Our room had agreat view of the sea and we had a lovely weekend at Thornhill. Definitely come again.

  I have just returned from a 5 night stay in this stunning building and can, hand on heart, say I will be back as soon as I can. I was in Phoebe room, set out as a twin room, staying with my mum. The room was beyond comfortable and I slept like a baby. High quality bed linens & furnishings; - I stayed here in March as I wanted to stay in this historic property. Wow what a great decision that was, the whole house is fabulous, full of character, spotlessly clean, stylish and beautifully appointed. Greeted wonderfully by the owners, a Devon home made cream tea on arrival in their beautiful sitting room in big leather chairs.   Shaldon is a beautiful, spotlessly clean village with plenty of character. Hosts were very helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast plentiful and good. Bed very comfortable and room warm on a very chilly weekend. Milk in a flask rather than mini cartons. Good size TV. Large shower. Soft, fluffy towels and flannels, changed daily. Breakfast was a pleasure vast array of breads cereals cold meats, juices etc ..... Full English for me but staff very flexible if a twist on what was on the menu was required ..... Evening restaurant very busy, but that's to be expected as the food is excell - Staff and room excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Room was of a high standard and the bathroom huge. Room 3 is the room to stay in. Would definitely return in future. Asked my partner to marry me (she said yes :))and the management gave us a bottle of bubbly on the house. Which I thought was lovely of them.

  it is A lovely setting and our chalet was top class. we hope to visit often as we have been at other camps but none come close. - The site is really nice and the location is fantastic and close to several great resorts.
