  Staff - From when we first arrived the staff were so friending and attentive. The young guy behind the bar checked us in, booked a table in the restuarant, got us a round of drinks - awesome service. Our waitress was great she was so friendly and even stopped in to say bye on her way out. The room - lovely modern and comfy bed Food - Lush gastro ... what people say » pub and they do a great value 3-course menu for £19.99. After dinner we chilled in the cosy pub. - Friendly helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Decor excellent, room comfortable, ambience welcoming and obviously popular. Evening menu was excellent and breakfast was good. We would recommend the Dog and Doublet and if travelling in that area we would hope to stay there again. Thank you to all the staff and Nathan but thankyou to Natalie in particular. She made us most welcome and paid attention to small details.

  The room was lovely, very good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The leisure pool was an added bonus. Breakfast was good,too. The evening dinner was good but a little on the expensive side. - It was convenient for use and very close to where we were going. We had a late night and the night staff on duty were great.

Nice clean well equipped room with good quality bed and bedding. Plenty of towels and some toiletries, tea and coffee. more than we have had at some more expensive travel lodges! 30 minutes door to door on quiet rds. Good food at pub 3 miles away as recommended. People on some of these reviews need to be fair abou - I needed a bed for the night for a business meeting next day. This was ideal, free wi fi, nice small room with en suite. Staff waiting and looking out for me on arrival. Continental breakfast in morning great for me at only £3.50. I just need a coffee to get going , toast kept coming and even given a doggy bag to take some muffins for journey home.

  We found the room to be more than we expected. Very comfortable bed, large bathroom and shower facilities. Being able to control heating and air con was fantastic. Overall could not have been happier. Just what we needed after a long day in the rain at the v festival.
