A wedding celebration that held the ceremony and wedding breakfast at hotel. All wedding details went perfectly to plan. The wedding breakfast was well presented and the food was delicious. Staff very courteous. We were well looked after. Hotel in beautiful setting ideal for the wedding photographs. Lovely stay in a quiet location. It's becoming a regular retreat to get away for an evening of fine dining (no taxis!) and relaxation for us - will be back next month for more of the same.
all reviews » We attended a family wedding and thought it was a good choice of venue. Many guests including us needed to travel so being able to stay at the location was excellent. I had a good size clean and comfortable room with nice views over the local countryside. Had a good breakfast and found this a relaxing place to stay. Tasteful conversion Location---lovely views and close to our family. Room very comfortable with plenty of space Good breakfast Plenty of car parking. the size of the rooms were great, very comfotable, Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked to order. We were walking theYorkshire Wolds Way and the accomodation is 2 miles off the path; we had to walk along a very busy a road to reach Rudstone Walk. There is a shorter and more pleasant route in and which the staff showed us the next morning so that we could rejoin the walk. can't think of anything. I was asked what time I was going to arrive and then felt under pressure. I was later than I had said and was greeted by an envelope with instructions on. A bit pricey for a budget walking holiday. Getting there wasn't easy as we were on foot and had to arrange a taxi. There wasn't anything to complain about!. no chain on bath plug!. Reception was unmanned when I arrived and the key to the room was in an envelope on the reception desk with brief details of how to find the room, was my stay not important enough to them? Breakfast, which I didn't take, seemed expensive. Shower cubicle very cramped and I am not a big person!. No internet in the rooms. As a business traveller this is key for me to be able to check and send emails in the evening whilst away. Its not acceptable to have to sit in the lounge or corridor to be able to pick this up. Had I realised this was the case I would of opted to stay at an alternative location. Secondly - no plug in the wash basin of the room I was staying in!. Room had been used by registrars and was not prepared. Room was adjacent to "smoking" area and there was disturbance and noise until very late. Breakfast was ok but not really up to the standard expected in terms of both quality and quantity. The room was dirty and dated with cracked tiles in the bathroom and the shower was not attached to the wall.
