    We enjoyed our short break immensely. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff, and were always recognised when we came into the hotel by the staff on duty.     A wonderful visit (FlyBe Belfast to Exeter) to a most beautiful region.The hotel in all aspects was excellent, staff courteous, good manners,attentive and good at their jobs. A minor hiccup. - The staff were extremely good and nothing was too much trouble for them - due to staff shortages they were all multi-tasking but the good service was not lost. We particularly liked the head waiter/operations manager who always had a lovely smile and curteous manner for young and old alike. We loved our room that had a double aspect with far reaching views - totally delightful.

    The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - anywhere. Lovely room - great hospitality tray including your own fresh coffee. Bathroom was great - plug/combined tap was a bit hard to fathom at first but modern bathroom appliances are a steep learning curve for some and easy for others.     This was the second time staying at this hotel. The owners are friendly and courteous and the facilities are what you would expect of a hotel with a much higher star rating. We stayed in a self catering room on this occasion and found it to have everything we needed for a wonderful stay.     The catering for the function we attended at the Hotel was really excellent. - Although we were only staying overnight the comfort, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel was great. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in a beautiful dining room - we would hope to come again.

    Loved the room and sea view, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom gave the choice of shower or bath. It was scrupulously clean and well looked after. The garage was underground which saved the car from seagull droppings! It was also very secure.     We had a wonderful room with a triple aspect of the beach. It was well decorated and spacious The staff were cheerful, friendly and eager to help - nothing was too much trouble. The food produced in the bar was a delight cooked to perfection, particularly yummy were the scallops with a thermidor sauce and their creamy calves liver. The hotel was... what people say » right on the beach and the walk along the Esplanade was lovely and the day spent a Connaught gardens a relaxing time. There were also plenty of shop - The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts and lunches were very good indeed, good quality food and thoughtful presentation. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows and the shower was adequate. The owners had done a good job at modernising the inside of the hotel and the standard of cleanliness was superb.
