A minor hiccup. - The staff were extremely good and nothing was too much trouble for them - due to staff shortages they were all multi-tasking but the good service was not lost. We particularly liked the head waiter/operations manager who always had a lovely smile and curteous manner for young and old alike. We loved our room that had a double aspect with far reaching views - totally delightful.

  The catering for the function we attended at the Hotel was really excellent. - Although we were only staying overnight the comfort, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel was great. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in a beautiful dining room - we would hope to come again.

  Loved the room and sea view, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom gave the choice of shower or bath. It was scrupulously clean and well looked after.   We had a wonderful room with a triple aspect of the beach. It was well decorated and spacious The staff were cheerful, friendly and eager to help - nothing was too much trouble. The food produced in the bar was a delight cooked to perfection, particularly yummy were the scallops with a thermidor sauce and their creamy calves liver. The hotel was... what people say » right on the beach and the walk along the Esplanade was lovely and the day spent a Connaught gardens a relaxing time. There were also plenty of shop - The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts and lunches were very good indeed, good quality food and thoughtful presentation. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows and the shower was adequate. The owners had done a good job at modernising the inside of the hotel and the standard of cleanliness was superb.
