I particularly liked the sea view room we had, it certainly lived up to expectations. Elaine and Tony, the owners, were a very friendly couple, they took their business seriously, but in a fun way. Both were also very relaxed and approachable, and nothing was too much trouble. (thanks for the biscuits Elaine!) The breakfasts were excellent, with a good choice. Tony and Elaina were very nice, friendly people who were always happy tohelp. The room was excellent and the breakfast superb. Can't faultanything about our stay. A home from home! Would definitely go back.Many thanks for making our time with you very enjoyable.

We have a young child who was made very welcome and accommodated for really well. The owners were extremely friendly and made you feel particularly welcome. The breakfast was excellent. Fantastic value for money place to stay. We will be using this hotel again in the future.we only had a very short 1 night stay.however for the short time we were there we found the hotel to be excellent,and the staff very friendly we will stay at this hotel again. The hotel location was ideal for visiting these beautiful places. The hotel had stunning views over the north bay but was just a few minutes walk from the south bay and town centre. The breakfast was excellent and enjoyable evenings were spent in the small pleasent hotel bar. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Tony and Elaine. The rooms had a beautiful sea view, could not ask for more, the room size was comfortable, linen clean, pleasant decor. The breakfast is just what you need to set you up for the day, it was varied and cooked just right. We often stay in larger hotels but I liked this friendly small one and hopefully will be staying again.The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar was pleasant and quite lively. The room was very clean, if a little on the small side; it was nevertheless, very pleasant with a sea view. The Hotel is convenient for the south shore and in a quiet area, so no disturbances during the night. Lack of fixed shower and misleading info re parking.Only minor but as in a lot of smaller hotels the en suite was a little on the small side but this would not stop another visit. bathroom was a little on the small side but absolutely fine otherwise. Information about the area

La Baia Hotel is situated in a quiet area of Scarborough close to the Castle and Historic attractions, but is only 10 minutes walk from the main shopping area, cricket ground and the popular south bay. There are bars and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk from the Hotel to suit all tastes eg Chinese, Italian, Indian and English restaurants. Peasholm Park, the Sea Life Centre and the new Marina are also worth a visit. For your entertainment, there is the Spa Theatre, Stephen Joseph Theatre and the Futurist Theatre offering live performances most evenings.

We are very flexible at La Baia Hotel and are able to offer accommodation for up to 29 people if you are looking to book the whole Hotel. 4 of our double rooms can be converted to twin rooms and 4 of our double rooms can be converted into family rooms with up to 3 children in a room. We have 3 rooms that have both a bath and a shower - all the other rooms have a shower.

Travelling information

To find La Baia Hotel, follow the signs to the Castle. Blenheim Terrace runs parallel to Castle Road. Turn left after the Scarborough Arms Public House and then left again onto Blenheim Terrace. La Baia Hotel is the 4th Hotel on your left overlooking the North Bay.
Places worth a visit whilst you are staying in Scarbororough:- Whitby is only 30 minutes drive, Heartbeat Country is 45 minutes drive, Castle Howard is also 45 minutes drive and the Historic City of York is an hour's drive.
