  The fact that my partner and i did not make it for breakfast after a rather late night an although check out time was stated at 10am, the staff left us till 12 ish ( much appreciated ) - Nice clean rooms, look as if they have recently been re decorated.

  All the rooms weren't the same which was really good mad it more individual. The pool was a nice extra and allowed you to relax. The bar/lounge area was very nicely laid out and there were board games you could play in a group.Staff were very polite,helpful & friendly. Reception staff always willing to help.   Our recent stay at The Westcot started our driving holiday around Scotland. After staying now in 5 more accommodations since then, we rate The Westcot as the best we have stayed in. There is attention to detail, the rooms are great, the appointments and little extras contained therein are very thoughtful, e.g. Bath robes, hot chocolate, lovely bi... what people say » scuits, tea and coffee, makeup remover. The wifi connections are superb. Breakfast is amazing with the range of choices (within reason) from Moe's ki - Carol and Bob were the loveliest couple who were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They made us feel like welcome friends in a non-intrusive way. They were full of information and helpful local knowledge. The room was nice and after being in London and some other cities it was lovely to be in a place that had a lovely view from every window. I've never had potato scones before, and they were fantastic. The town center is few minutes walk from the B&B where we had pleasant dinner. It was one of the best stays during our week sent traveling around Scotland.   As I have stayed at this hotel before, although some time ago, staff instantly recognised me, called me by name and were helpful, enthusiastic and efficient. Stirling Management Centre location in the grounds of the university is picturesque with great views and I saw deer in the morning. The biggest asset of the hotel is it's staff in particular the reception staff who are the first point of contact and have to deal - Staff were nice and friendly. I arrived extremely tired. When I asked about dinner, the options were explained to me and then the receptionist said I could have dinner in my room if I preferred, which sounded great. Food was good quality, if a little small in portion size and quite expensive. I also took part in an all day conference the next day. The food was very tasty then too. Breakfast buffet was particularly good. Thank you

  I thought the rooms, or more importantly, the room I received was absolutely fabulous. It was spacious and luxurious. Highly recommend it for the room that I was allocated however I did see some of the other rooms as family members were staying and there double rooms were extremely small, but again I can only comment for my self and extremely happy... what people say » with the room and size - I have stayed at the Golden Lion on a couple of occassions. The rooms are very comfortable and staff very helpful. it is ideally located for the city centre and also has a very comfortable bar of its own.

  My partner and I stayed over at the Abbotsford Lodge after attending a beautiful wedding at the Roman Camp. We had one of the double rooms at the top, sharing a shower room with other guests. Everything was great from the beginning when we found ourselves in the hall till friendly good-bye. We loved the breakfast with haggis, real feast in the morning!
