  On arrival we were greeted at the door by the hotel manager and several staff wishing my wife happy birthday. Then given a tour of the hotel and shown to our room which was "FINGLE" it was wonderful. Everything about gidleigh is immaculate we even walked into the woods to find the foot paths clear of leaves and being december this must of been a m... what people say » onumental task for the grounds staff. The food was out of this world. All in all from the second we arrived to the second we left everyone at gidleigh - A truly magical place. Even though we only stayed for a weekend, it felt much longer as we were so relaxed. The views and surrounding area are spectacular, and the welcome and service by the staff are the best that we have experienced. We had only been there about three hours and we were talking about when we could make a return trip. Truly wonderful.
