    Central Location, friendly and helpful receptionist & staff. Cleanliness. Excellent eating facilities near by. The town is quaint and has some interesting historical buildings. - Very friendly and helpful staff. We were attending dog show and always made very welcome with the dogs which is great. We have stayed before and will stay again

    The staff made you feel very comfortable and at home.The meal, in the hotel restaurant, was one of the best meals we have had; again the service was attentive.On checking out the receptionist checked sailing times of our ferry from Stranrar which required a computer search and then a lengthy phone call; all done with a smile. - A friendly attentive... what people say » atmosphere.     It was genuinely nice place to be. The staff were lovely and the decor was simple but in very good taste (subjective). Food was excellent and reasonably priced and the breakfast was Superb. I know this can't be guaranteed, but the other guests were pleasant and interesting too.     Nicely positioned, within walking distance of town but just out enough to be quiet. VERY friendly! Simple rooms, ours was a small ensuite, mega power shower but all very clean and fresh. We used it as a base to tour surrounding areas, perfect for our purpose. Good breakfasts, nice evening meals. Parking in front of the building - discrete and secure enough for 4 Ferraris to be safe for 2 n - Staff very friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough to help. Excellent location to explore Jedburgh and other towns in the Borders. Lots of history and lovely scenery. Breakfast good quality. Evening meal menu well priced, good quality. Large room well appointed. Outside tables and seats to enjoy the garden. Off street parking. Free wi-fi. Small and friendly hotel, well worth a visit.

    The room was lovely and the service was excellent. Since we were exploring the area around Selkirk and had only one day, we did not have time to hunt for restaurants. It was wonderful to have an excellent restaurant to come back to in our own hotel. - Excellent service, staff very attentive, food was superb and standard room was excellent.

    We were only there for one night and did not eat in the evening as we were in the castle at a wedding. Room was fine and the bed was really cosy! The breakfast was good and well presented. The service was excellent - nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere.     Very stylish, comfortable rooms in historical building in the centre of Hawick. Donna is a very friendly and informative hostess. The breakfasts are superb, served in a wonderful room overlooking the High Street. All this and free parking at the rear of the building.     Then entrance to the reception was beautiful and the grounds spectacular. Eeverything was available. The food in the resturant was brilliant - Everything was enjoyable it was very peaceful and relaxing.

    I was given an overflow room at the hotel, which was actually a very quaint 1 bedroom cottage, a stones throw from the hotel.     After conversation with the owners we ended up staying at Coldstream Bank House rather than Duns House, as it was more convenient for us. It was excellent, beautiful accommodation, very comfortable and a lot of thought had been put into the rooms. Owners very nice, helpful and friendly without being intrusive. - Fantastic place to stay in a wonde... what people say » rful location.     We stayed at The Farmhouse for 2 nights and can't rate it highly enough! The owners Jon and Marilyn are both friendly and welcoming (as are the dogs!) and they went above and beyond to ensure we wanted for nothing during our time with them. Since the car was out of commission for most of our stay Jon booked us a table at a lovely local restaurant (wa - We didn't meet the owners however the staff attending to us were very friendly and helpful. The room was well presented and very clean. The full english or should I say Scottish breakfast was very tasty and filling. Spectacular countryside setting. I would definitely visit again.

    The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The ensuite bathroom was very tastefully decorated, with very up to date fixtures, and the best shower we've experienced in England!
