The conveniences of the room ie: plenty of coat hangers, plenty of milk giggers, a fridge at the top of the stairs to keep drinks cool, a selection of DVD's for our entertainment, a good array of toiletries & extra towels for our convenience. ... what people say » The room was very clean & very well presented. Having worked in hotels the Waters Edge certainly comes up to a 4-star standard. There was an exce - My wife and I enjoyed a cheery welcome and lots of thoughtful touches which are not always expected in a B & B. The room was very clean & comfortable. We were attending a family wedding in the afternoon and it wasn't any bother to our hosts to pop back mid-morning and change. There was peace and quiet coupled with comfort and, of course the FANTASTIC breakfasts. Hope the plums in ginger are on when you're there. Utterly scumptious! The whole experience was stupendous and we will be stay

  Home from home comfort and excellent food. Great location in Mudefordand we had superb weather which was a bonus. Have stayed several times -a lot of the rooms are individual. - Everything was fantastic. The only thing I would have changed would have been the weather!! I can imagine it being a beautiful place to stay in the summer.

I appreciated the fact that loads of towels and toiletries were provided although we were both single occupancy in double rooms, often you dont get very much as a single traveller!!   I re-visited The Rothesay earlier this month for a stay lasting five nights. As on previous occasions I was welcomed by the owner and shown to my room which I found to be both warm and comfortable. There was a good selection of fresh fruit on the breakfast table as well as the usual cereals etc., A big plus was that I requested an item not genera... what people say » lly on the cooked breakfast menu and this was served perfectly cooked! All in all a very pleasant stay. - The host was welcoming with complimentary tea and cake (genoa?) and informative throughout our stay. The room, ( superior), was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with cereals, juice, fruit and cooked breakfast prepared to order, piping hot. An indoor heated swimming pool was available. The Rothesay is well placed for shopping, eating out, Highcliffe Castle and the beach.Overall very good value for money.

  The welcome at reception unlike some four star hotels I have stayed in! This is nice to find when you are a mature lady travelling on your own to be made to feel welcome from the start. Also the fact that they did not realize I would be on my own and offered to change my ground floor room to an upstairs one if I wished to do so. - The staff were ... what people say » very welcoming, and most kindly granted our request for a larger bed!
