What people say
All was perfect. The location is very close to city centre just 5 or 10 minutes walk. The room is quite nice and clean, there is enough space to store things or to work and there is a kettle in the room. The breakfast was nice too - the selection of food was adequate and there was enough space to eat. A very nice garden in the yard. Staff were really nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. all reviews »
Very friendly staff in Reception, allowing me to check-in well before the time I was supposed to. Also the best latte and danish pastry I had for a while! So close to Piccadilly Station and Canal Street, a couple of minutes walk.
Kettle in room with some tea and coffee. Plenty of storage and basic shower room and toilet. Can't ask for more. Convenient, clean and comfortable.
I liked its placement, since it was in the centre, and i could be in 10 minutes in the train station or in the malls on foot. I also liked the fact that it was quite comfortable, having a single room in a low price and elevator also to transfer my luggage. The staff was very friendly and the cleanlinless was another advantage of the hostel. I strongly recommend it!.
The Halls were clean, comfortable and well-run by helpful staff. I stayed there for my son's graduation without a car so the location was ideal - within easy walking distance of the railway station and the University of Manchester. The buffet breakfast was nicely prepared with lots of choice, giving a great start to the day after a good night's sleep.
Location was very good just 5 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. Room was very clean with a good size ensuite and staff were very professional.
For £29.00 in Manchester City centre on a Saturday night you could not fault it.
staff on reception were friendly, the hotel felt safe, the room was cheap, and really close to the centre of the pride festivities, the bed was comfy, the ensuite was really convenient. I loved having coffee making stuff in the room.
Friendly and hospitable staff on reception. A good budget deal, especially if stopping overnight for a concert. Good shower and kind provision of complimentary tea and coffee. Soap, shampoo and towels provided.
Staff very friendly. Great value for money - single room is only a bed, desk and bathroom but great price and location. Close to city centre and other transports.
from the moment I arrived I was treated very well the rooms are basic but very clean. All I needed for my weekend at gay Pride. The staff were excellent.
Cheap, basic, clean, close to city centre, comfy bed, amazingly good shower! Towels, soap, shampoo, kettle, coffee, tea & bikkies provided.
Very clean and neatly maintained. Staff were very receptive and helpful. Extremely close to the city centre - literally a stone's throw away.
Excellent value - cheap.clean and convenient - no frills, but if you need a bed for the night and a shower then this fits the bill nicely.
Friendly staff upon check in.
Location of hotel in City Centre
Free wifi.
Comfortable beds.
Quiet rooms.
Fantastic price.
Affordable. No fuss, you get what you pay for. Somewhere to sleep for the night if you are just passing through.
Perfect location for Manchester City Centre, will book again certainly. Clean single rooms. Pretty good.
Helpful staff, clean and comfortable bed. Very convenient location and excellent value for money.
The position of the place very near the main stations and coach station also the city centre.
Excellent location, convenient for shopping, train station and bars. Clean and comfortable.
Nice staff, Everything I needed was provided, nice, small rooms with kettles.
Location, price. En-suite facilities (in a student study / bedroom).
Staff very obliging
Excellent breakfast
Relaxed atmosphere.
location, breakfast, room facilities, helpful staff.
Exactly what I paid for.....clean bed and shower.
I liked the room, the location, the facilities.
Great location. Every single penny worths.
Simple, city centre and very economic.
Its location and good friendly staff.
Position, breakfast, value for money.
cheap and clean staff very helpfull.
It was so cheap and so well placed.
Great price. Easy check in etc.
-Close to main railway station.
-Facility includes a restaurant and bar.
-Weston Halls is actually connected to a slightly more expensive hotel for which these facilities belong.
-Great value for money though as a single traveller.
Pretty well taking in consideration the low orice of the room. Tea/coffee facilities. Quiet and nice neighberhood.
price, location, the room is perfectly acceptable for a basic inexpensive place to stay.
I lked the friendly staff nd their help most. The location I liked.
Cheaper than most over priced hotels and B and Bs in Manchester.
Enjoyed the location and budget friendly accommodation.
Everything in general, specially the price.
Free wi-fi everywhere, including the rooms.
Great city centre location
Very cheap.
very nice and rich breakfast.
Location and affordability.
relevantly cheap.
The location.
Price.
The location is very good indeed. The day time reception staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms have paper cups which are not replaced on a daily basis - a bit revolting. I recommend for those not intending to spend too much time at the accommodation.
Low cost and in the location I needed, but walking distance to the centre.
Bedding and towels clean and tea facilities provided.
They tried, tea/ coffee and soap etc left in room.
I liked the complimentary drinks in the room.
Excellent breakfast
Very good shower.
The only minus was that there were no soap or shampoo. Just take them with you and you're all set.
Basic accommodation, but you couldn't ask anything more for the price.
The bathroom didn't have enough space for all my things and there was a little bit of noise from a bar across the road. But neither of these were a problem and I would still recommend the hotel.
Nothing really.
The shower thermostat didn't work so it went from boiling to freezing during a shower, the cleaner let themselves in before the check out time while i was showering thinking i had gone. There was no internet in the room.
Slamming doors. My friend's door showed signs of previous damage. Air smelled a little fusty but it was generally OK if you're looking for a short and sweet stay.
Somewhat difficult to find the room being part of a business firm. Only minor.
Having to leave.
Noisy at night, but that's Pride weekend in Manchester for you! Not enough tea bags!.
would have been nice to have a TV in the room.
Check-in process could be a little more simplified. There seemed to be a lot of paperwork.
No air con! It was hot and airless.
very hot and lack of air conditioning.
Not being able to find the place - it is signposted as a conference centre, and the check in is signed as Days Inn (which does use the same check in desk)
Shower temperature kept changing.
Not enough cups for tea/ coffee in room.
Room clean but noticed someone elses toe nail clippings on floor.
I was on the ground floor. There was no net curtains. I went for the weekend to do assignments. Outside my window people were looking in on me. People were stood having conversations. I had to close my window and curtains for private.
Also I had no heating, I was freezing. I asked the room cleaner how to turn it on as it would not work for me. Unfortunately the lady could not speak English or help me. I had to sit doing my work for 3 days in the cold.
Furnitures in the room are a little old...
It was a time warp back to student days, only with an ensuite shower. There weren't really any drawbacks!.
-Quite old, student like accommodation.
-A little loud on Saturday night though with a function room outside my room down in the function area.
Modest, the look of a student's room.
I didn't expect A/C but it was very hot and the room was very hot as you can't open the windows very much. It is a residence hall and very simple, which is fine, but it also attracts people looking for a cheap room to crash in after a night of drinking, so don't be surprised by loud drunks at 4am. Also, no Internet in rooms, only available in lobby.
The rooms are very basic. Even tiolets are not quite clean sometimes.
No internet, no TV, corridors were dingy and extermely smelly of possible urine or alcoholics vomitus. I had to refreshen the air in my room with my perfume. Rooms were clean but you need to pass those corridors before reaching your room.
Rooms were not cleaned properly also no coffee left.
In the morning someone got in my room while I was still in bed. I guess it was the housekeeping staff because they had a key to the room. They got out as soon as they realized someone was there, but they should have checked with the reception to see if I had checked out already or, at least, knock on the door first.
The awful smell of the carpets in the corridor and in the room. The old mattres of the bed (springs were almost popping out).
Not that comfortable beds but that is to be expected for the price.
Bathroom was not very clean.
too noisy.
Smell of bathroom. Noise. Non easy access into/out of halls.
This place should be rename 'The Halls of the Banging Doors': appalling noise all night. The mattresses are terrible. Overall impression of the place is, grotty. To offer this standard of accommodation to students at the high rates they pay is questionable.
The signage on floor 5 was incorrect, and finding the room initially I was directed in the wrong direction.
The bathroom was not very clean, dubious stains and grime along the pipework and rotten woodwork on door frame and under shower.
Noisy, people banging hallway doors loudly. Room very basic and smelly.
If you get what you pay for, this would be better priced at £15.
At about 11pm I went down to reception as there was an awful lot of
noise and asked the receptionist to request that the group would be
quiet however they still continued. I also asked for a fan which I was
told would be brought to my room shortly but it never arrived. At the
end of my stay I gave my key back but was not asked how my stay was. A
woman who was staying at Days Inn checked out after me and she was asked
how her stay was. This upset me.
Room was very hot and very noisy. It seemed to be directly above or below a disco.
In addition my room was impossible to find ... it was not signposted at all.
