What people say
In general I like everything! The hotel has very nice clean rooms, entrance to the shower cabin was straightly from the room and shower was illuminated with various colors (had special application on it and after you turn on the water it begins to shine) everything worked well - air-conditioner, TV with flat screen, Wi-Fi was very rapid! It's very easy to go to the center on foot (10-15 minutes). I didn't take breakfast, so I can say nothing about it. I just want to say many thanks for all the . all reviews »
We got a great deal. The staff were very helpful, the 24 hour reception was very reassuring as it meant you could always get help with issues if any arose. Our property was safely secured in the room and they had a good luggage storage facility that was very useful for when we wanted to get out and see the city before and after checking in. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was functional, you couldn't ask for more in terms of value for money and I'd strongly recommend this hotel to anyon.
I loved staying here! Its literally a 5 minute walk away not to mention the costa coffee! We Were not to check in 12 but we.needed our bags looked after & They Were put in.storeage, theres Also a 10gbp early check in. They gave us a Map etc, upon leaving real early they offered to phone a taxi but Also gave me quick directions to piccadilly, the bed was comfy & room was fab! It made my trip to meet my dad excellent! Ill be Back! Thanks so much.
Good location: Piccadilly station (one of central hubs, has direct train routes to airport), Arndale shopping mall, main streets, all of it were in walkable distance.
Room with awesome lightning system, even in shower; spacious enough but lacking surfaces to put something down; adjustable heating system.
A lot of parkings nearby for 3-8 pounds per 24h, but credit cards are not always accepted.
The staff were outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable about surrounding area, services, transport etc and very helpful.
Basic rooms, and toilet room rather "cosy" (small) - but spotlessly clean, and fabulous showers with great water pressure and colour changing lights!
Close to city centre and walking distance to Phones4U arena. (About 1 mile, but easy level walking).
Buffet breakfast was excellent,
Room was clean and functional, bed was hard (which I like but may not be to everyones taste) and the shower was brilliant.
Wi-fi worked really well and there is little outside noise.
Hotel is a 10 min walk from Piccadilly station or one stop on the tram which stops 50m from the hotel and has great access to many parts of Manchester.
Great hotel in a great location (5min walk from Piccadilly) rooms were
perfect size for me. I loved the color changing shower heads. The toilet
cubicle was a little small but nothing I couldn't live with. Great
value, and nice and quiet too ( I couldn't here a thing from
surrounding rooms) Was so good im going back in 4 days time :).
Very close to metro stop ( New Islington) -one stop from Piccadilly station where airport rail link arrives/departs and city centre.Line also serves Man City football ground.
Very fresh and modern, comfortable bed, good shower.Very quiet (we had a sixth floor room).
Good value continental style breakfast buffet.
The staff I encountered were incredibly helpful and courteous. The room was small but had a fantastic shower in a space -age type cubicle. I loved the "mood lighting" in the room and the simplicity of everything. Everything was absolutely spotless and completely functional. Well done in every way.
Easy check in/reception friendliness. Very clean/modern surroundings. Very good choice at breakfast, including fruit/yogurt & many different types of pastries. Loved the shower head with coloured LED's denoting time of showering. Good TV which had connectors for DVD player/Laptop.
Clean, bright new hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff.. Excellent price when compared to other Manchester hotels.. Location was perfect for me as I was playing tennis near the etihad stadium but its about 15mins walk to centre of town.
Staff at checkin was very fast only took 1 min too checkin. Room was
very clean, modern shower and wash basin, clean toilet, clean fresh
sheets, flat screen tv with alot of channels to choose from. Will stay
here again.
This hotel is perfect for short stay. Only 10 mins from Piccadilly station, absolutely fantastic price, room has almost everything you need, free wi-fi, helpful stuff. Will stay here again, if I have a chance.
Really friendly, informative check in staff, food and drink available 24/7, a diy coffee machine for £1.50 and free wifi.
Nearby tram but only £5 in a taxi to town and the 02 Apollo Academy...bonus.
We went to Manchester due to fooball game and this hotel was ideal for its position (near to Etihad stadium). The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and big enough. Good deal for the money.
I love this hotel! The air con alone is enough for me to move in right now.
Great value for money and I filled my boots at brekkie. All you can eat for a fiver which kept me going till teatime.
The location was quiet near to the Piccadilly train station, the staff was very friendly upon my arrivel, the guy at the reception got me a printed map of Manchester, and was very helpfull.
Everything. Very clean, to the point, got all the necessary facilities, one of the best budget hotels ever. Really really cheap and brilliant facilities, comfort, lightin, decor all good.
All was fine in this Hotel. Staff was excelent, room was one of the best for luxury and automation, the place was near Manchester railways, everything perfect at a low price.
very helpful, friendly staff, great shower (lights in showerhead were great surprise), cleanliness was excellent, modern feel, breakfast available, late checkout.
Nice location just a few minutes walk to Piccadilly Garden, for the price a nice option to stay for a night in Manchester, shower and toilet separated, comfy bed,.
Great location only a 10 min walk to Piccadilly, Really friendly staff.Good value for money,The breakfast is also good value at only £4. Would stay there again.
Pretty good location. 15 min walk to the city center, 10 min walk to Piccadilly train station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice design to the whole place.
The staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was pretty small, but it was ok for 2 nights stay. I liked the colourful lights in a shower, they're so cool :).
- best place to visit Man City stadium (15 minutes walk)
- the proximity to downtown and the train station (10 minutes)
- friendly and helpful receptionist.
A very good hotel indeed.Good Location,Near to Public Transport. Many Big stores near the Hotel.Staff Friendly.Security good.We like to stay here in future.
I liked the location as it was close to where we needed to go and it was clean and the staff were very friendly and the services available were very good.
The room was very clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and efficient. Location was good too - Piccadilly rail station was only a short walk (10 mins) away.
Ease of arriving and registering into hotel, cleanliness and design, desk open 24 hours 7 days.Size and lightness of rooms and shower and toilet spotless.
I like staying in Ibis Budget in general because in different cities and countries a standard is always the same. Best regards for Monika from Poland:).
That the desk what manned 24 hours a day and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The excelent breakfast choice and the option of 24 hour pizza.
convenient for Piccadily railway station and airport. the canal walk which connect the hotel with the station. The power shower was wonderful.
Whilst compact rooms were clean with modern facilities. Staff helpful and easy tram into city right outside the door. Good value for money.
Good budget hotel. Very helpful staff and nice clean room. No frills place to stay at a reasonable price. Would recommend and stay again.
enjoyed our stay, very clean, staff very polite, room was how the avert described. central location, near keys trams eating places etc.
Easy to check in, friendly staff, cool room, good shower, clean, good location, good value for money. Exactly what we were looking for.
Good position, very very clean and i really liked the room organization, and the led shower, very kind staff, new and modern structure.
Really great hotel, 3 minutes from the tram (one station to the city center)
Wifi everywhere
Helpful stuff, great value for money!!!.
Staff were friendly and the rooms were quiet and restful and the hotel is just outside of the main city centre to make it very quiet.
The gentleman on the front desk was lovely. Very helpful with
information and showed us where to go on a map to get to the shops etc.
My husband and I were very pleased with our first stay at an Ibis hotel and will definately be using the chain again. Great value.
Good room with air conditioning, pleased to be able to get extra pillows without difficulty. Breakfast at a reasonable price.
clean with friendly staff, good location .we got the room at a very good price which helped offset the size of the room.
Very modern, very clean, sleak and simple, no fuss, great for a one night crash pad. They even do pizza in reception.
Close to central station yet in quite area. Good breakfast (though it
was for 5 pound extra p/p with our reservation).
Good value for the money. Very good place to stay for fottbalmatch when City plays, walking distance for the stadium.
Welcomed warmly by the manager had an issue with the TV quickly resolved. Free wifi was a bonus and a decent speed!.
Great price and location
Clean and modern rooms
Funky shower head
Really helpful and friend staff
Ironing facilities.
Location was close to the centre of Manchester and the staff were very
knowledgable and happy to give information.
Good value for money; suits for one-night stay but for a longer period I would advise to look for anything else.
hm...nothing!)).
Stain on towel.
It was noisy a little at night since our window looked to the main road.
Although there were car parking spaces for drop off etc, we were advised to park on a nearby car park as the Hotel did not "control" the adjacent spaces. My impression was that it would have been safer/easier to leave the car nearer to the hotel.
As has been mentioned by others, the toilet is a bit cramped with the door shut.
Was asked for photo id on checking in and paying in cash. Id booked
through bookings.com and have never been asked this anywhere before. I
didn't actually have any id on me but my money was still accepted, I
didnt really understand the point of it to be honest.
Storage could be better -just a few extra hooks or a slightly longer hanging rail would be good.
Not sure if there is car parking available in the general area other than short stay for pick-up/drop-off.
The bed was a little bit too hard for me, but this a minor quibble.
Privacy screen in shower could be better - not good if just sharing with two other friends.
While breakfast is cheap at a £5 and what's provided is fresh there isn't much choice.. But that's my only negative comment.. If you want a cheap clean place to stay in Manchester then definately give ibis pollard street a go.
Nothing. Its a cheap clean modern room which suited me for a night out
in Manchester.
Shower has transparent door, that is not really good when you share the room with somebody.
Nothing, for it's price it's very good.
Slightly short staffed - however, very friendly receptionists and helpful.
option of a few more facilities in room would have been nice. ie: phone in room, bathmat included, tea facilities in room would have been great but in reality, you pay for what you get so it was great to have a place that was so cheap that still had nice, CLEAN, modern rooms available. Thanks very much.
Beds are too hard. The rooms could do with a hairdryer and phone.
The room was very small with no storage room for anything, shower is next to the bed gets the room all wet. Toilet very very small, can be complicated if you are a large person.
In room no cupboard was present.when some guest came to meet us,staff did not allow them to come in our room.anyhow our stay was comfortable.
I did not mind that I Gould nit park at ten same venue as the hotel but I would have preferred it specially late at night. Also the showers privacy glass was not suitable to use with my child in the room and there was no hook inside the shower to hang my towel on.
My only negative was that the mattresses were pretty solid and not the most comfortable.
no coffee or tea making facility in rooms. Vending machines not explained, only been to hotel once
on my own, this being the first.not really sure what was involved about drinks and food to heat( out of cafeteria hours).
Everything was as good as I expected from this hotel.
Nothing.
Would have been good if parking was avaliable...very big car park behind that was almost unused and no Ibis guest spots.
Toilet was very small.
shower in odd place although A good room
felt we needed more privacy, perhaps shower and toilet together in one room to give privacy and drying room.
Bed a little firm for my liking but still OK! Bathmat quite important in a room like that with shower facing the living quarters. The receptionist should really offer one at the start or should be in the room from the start as our floor became unsafe.
It was hard to not let the water from the shower to go on the floor.... other than that, nothing major to complain for.
Wifi kept dropping but is useable.
Might have been good to have a small bottle of shower gel included in the price, it didn't occur to me that I would have to buy some. Having said that it was only a £1.
Toilet very small had to leave the door open room a bit on the small size no where to hang anything up, four coat hangers fixed to the wall.i feel the room is only set up for no more than a overnight stay.
The room felt a little bit like a hospital room mainly because of the floor choice which was half lino half laminate. And there were no soft furnishings other than the bed. This made the room echo and very cold. It was fine as a crash pad, but I wouldn't want to stay there for any longer than one night.
The air conditioning wasn't easy to work. I had to go down to reception to ask.
Rooms are minimal and small (was not actually a problem, since we
expected that).
Poor selection and qouality at the breakfast.
son had top bunk and found biscuits down near the top.
Hitting head on over bed bunk.
Only continental breakfast offered.
Shower door wouldn't shut properly meaning water would leak into the
room as the shower is located in the room.
The lack of shampoo and soap and just two towels; wet floor by the shower cabin.
