This hotel was a breath of fresh air for London on a budget. It is absolutely brand new, we arrived at 12:30 and were given early check in and an upgrade to an executive room. Each staff member was friendly and efficient. Seriously, the room looked like it had never been used, great bed, fresh new towels, strong shower wooden floor etc ....... Personally I thing that anybody who marked this hotel down has never stayed in the shoddy, tired, sticky-carpeted Hotels normally found in this price .

Overall the room has state of the art technology making it very echo friendly. It was rather impressive! Excellent location and only a 5 min walk from Victoria Station. Good options in the area to eat however caution that Grumpy's charges a cover and service charge automatically...food was okay but a bit over priced and service was not that good. St. George's Pu. Since the hotel has just been renovated, everything looks new and clean. Love the shower! Liked the breakfast...value for money. Location is good as it is very near to Victoria Station where access to else where via train, bus or the tube is so convenient...also restaurants and shops are all nearby There is a bus stop (bus no. 24) located very near to the hotel. Also good for travelers who joined the day tours to outside of London because the meeting point is very near the area. The hotel is newly renovated in modern, stylish décor. The shower in the room is excellent and the entire room is up to a high standard. The staff were incredibly helpful and met my request for early check in and an electric fan with ease. Additionally, my original room was on a floor with construction outside and I requested another room and received an upgrade with absolutely no hassles. The staff really are eager to assist you and make you feel at home. Great hotel. The bed was extremely comfy and the room decorated to a very high standard. The staff were excellent and were quick to answer our wishes and requests. The hotel bar was varied and not too expensive and the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the young man with dark hair. The room contained shampoos and tea making facilities which were both re-stocked daily! We would 100% return. The rooms were very clean albeit a bit small, but from what I gather is to be expected. The decor was modern and clean. The location was SUPERB! We were smack dab between Pimlico Tube Station and Victoria station. Which for us was perfect because we were only in London for the night and we got to see the whole of the city before leaving bright and early out of Victoria by Gatwick Express. I thought that the hotel was very clean and well presented. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite. The Receptionist on Saturday 22/06 was particularly helpful (and also shared a joke with us, which helped my hangover ;o) and the fact that we could leave our bags behind reception for the day, in a safe and secure manner whilst we looked around was a great help. The location and convenient bus service (24 line from/to Victoria Station, right across the street) made for a very ideal stay for a week-long vacation in London. The front desk staff were very friendly. If you just need a quiet night's sleep and want to be within 5 minutes (bus ride) of Victoria Station, this is a great option (but beware of the caveats). Location was excellent for Pimlico, the Tate Britain gallery and Houses of Parliament etc. The bedroom was comfortable, the shower very good, and we particularly liked the balcony where we could sit on a hot summer evening.The continental breakfast at £9 ish was superb value for London and there was plenty of choice. Easy transportation to the main city sites (bus #24 takes you to Trafalgar square, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Buckingham Palace, Camden Lock and others) stops almost in front of the hotel. This was the best hotel I have stayed in in London. For a solo traveller the rooms are large and comfortable, the staff are lovely and the breakfasts were excellent. It is also very convenient for the tube and for Victoria. I will certainly book this hotel when I return to London. We walked almost everywhere and only took the public transportation service once. If you want to use public transportation bus service is right outside the door and Tube is a short walk away. The hotel was difficult to find because there is no sign with the exception a small paper print out on the front door. The room is a bit small. Not much space to hang clothes or to put our luggages but the toilet is spacious. Wee bit pricey, but the location is excellent and the rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The room was small and very warm, especially first thing in the morning. Wifi in the hotel was not working for the majority of our stay. There was building works going on next door around 10. The hallways were tiny. But there's not much to be done about that. But everything else was pretty ideal. The wi-fi here was terrible. It rarely worked (not just poor speeds, but required the staff to reboot it repeatedly during my stay). The room (404) was not cleaned well each morning, we still could spot dust and crumbs left on the floor. Optional breakfast option was not good. I will try another hotel the next time I am in London. If we were being fussy, the hotel wasn't very well signposted, this could be better. Well, the breakfasts are overpriced at 14 GBP for an English breakfest. Fortunately you're not forced to eat there :) Corridors and doors are quite narrow - but I guess this is the London standard again. Rooms are small. Hotel acoustics is not good, so that you can hear steps on the bedroom above and stairs from your room. It was May and the room was cold even with an extra heater (so that might be freezing during winter). Absolutely nothing!. Our major complaint was the lack of storage space in the bedroom where there was no drawers at all for shirts and ladies accessories only a small shelf at the side of the bed. Obviously the hotel is geared for businessmen and not for the longer staying tourist. The room we stayed in whilst clean and basically equipped, was very small. The bed was only just adequate and far too narrow for a couple. Being a 6 foot 3 inch tall male, the bed would have accommodated me alone! One night was sufficient for my back!. Only shortcoming was that the air conditioner was not working. From what we were told they are waiting for inspections following the recent renovations to be able to activiate it. We were not impacted however as we were out all day and the nights were cool enough to be comfortable. Food rpices for breakfast were a little high so I would recommend going outside the hotel. Lots of places nearby. The only thing I would change would be the pillows, perhaps the hotel could invest in some goose down pillows. No complaints whatsoever. Our room was small but big enough for the two of us. During the heat wave while were in London, there was no air conditioning. But we had double doors which we could keep open for ventilation. Their was nothing to not like about the Hotel, the only thing missing was information in the room with regards to food etc. Quite expensive for the value, but that's typical for London so not really a downside in itself. Otherwise small stuff : heating didn't work, weak WiFi signal in the rooms, rooms are a bit cramped. The room was slightly small but adequate for me on my own. The wi fi was difficult to get in the room. Also, the hotel was not easy to find, I had to ask at another hotel as the street numbers were not displayed as the instructions which were given. The hotel has a purple entrance door!. It would be better if the staffs could help with carrying luggages. We had to carry all our 3 huge suitcases all way through. Minor point but the bathroom fan didn't seem to ever switch off which meant it was loud all night. I told the reception and they said they'd fix it and I trust they will. Nothing to complain about. Room was a bit compact, no wardrobe, just a very small rail to hang any clothes on. - Internet (Wi-Fi) was hopeless bad and impossible to use! - No air condition in rooms and gave us some terrible nights because of warm wether in London. - No city maps availible in reception. We stayed in room 114 and it was tiny, really tiny. It fit two adults (one small and one large) and our suitcases and that was just about it. I had to move the furniture around, put the phone and alarm clock away and use the nighstands as suitcase stands to make room. The bathroom was very badly designed and slightly uncomfortable. The hotel air conditioning didn't work for the whole week we stayed there. We were not advised it wasn't working until we asked and were not provided with an update. The weather was warm so we had to sleep with the bedroom windows opened and the location was noisy at night. I asked for a fan but was told the hotel didn't provide them. There was nothing I didn't like. quite expensive, but considered that I booked a couple of hours before going, it is probably expected. The room is relatively small, limited space. We were first given a top floor room which is extremely cold despite having heating. Not applicable. Standard Room was quite small for 2 people. We upgraded to bigger room. Service was nothing special, but no cause for complaint either. The rooms are a little tight, but expected a small size in London. Had to leave too soon!!!. il bagno un po' piccolo ma ben accessoriato (ampio box doccia). It was hot (not the hotel's fault!) and the aircon was not very efficient. Nothing really, we just felt the room was a bit small. On the small side but for a few nights it wouldn't worry me.
