The location was great. Very close to Lancaster Gate station and within walking distance to Paddington, Bayswater, Edgware Road, Oxford Street, Hyde Park, etc. The staff who received us on Sunday afternoon, 29Sep was very efficient & friendly. The other staff during weekdays was very helpful too. The broken shower head in our room was fixed immediately on the next working day. The room was cleaned, the towels and coffee/ tea were replenished every day. The wifi connection was excellent!.
all reviews » The location is great. Just opposite the Lancaster Gate station and bus station to Piccadilly and Westminster, and 5 min walk to Paddington station. The room we stayed in was recently refurbished and looks very good. The sofa is a sofa-bed and so useful for small family. There is a bedroom and so not a studio. Kitchen and toilet are both new and clean. Hot water supply is good as well. the value for money is excellent. Just few minutes walk to Paddington station and Lancaster station which i found its extremely convenience. House keeping is great also, as dishes, cups, etc are cleaned daily. The staffs are great and nice. brilliant location, fairly well equipped, good bedding, useful to have fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave. Brought our own tea towels thanks to previous reviews. The location is very wonderful, 5-minutes walk to Paddington Station, 3-minutes walk to the tube. There is no lift and we have to carry our child and belongings up 4 floors. The room is very warm. We were glad that it was cool outside, and so the room temperature is acceptable. I can't imagine how hot it will be if it was summer. The room is inevitably noisy from the street as it is in such a location. It's a bit noisy as it's on the main road and there's no life. Lots of stairs and a slightly unpleasant smell at times. no lift, if you take luggage with yourself, and all rooms are at least on the 3rd floor. no lift, can be a little bit noisy if your windows are on the main street. Unit 8 bathroom is too small. Hot water didn't work at all times. Old uncomfortable sofa in the living room, a small sink in the kitchen, the lack of air conditioning in the summer on the 4th floor will be very hot. spaces of the room was limitted for the movement and living. Could do with new double glazed windows. Bed was uncomfortable but okay. Dated room but the beds were comfortable. none. Shower was very dodgy and cleaning apart from new towels and emptying bins did not occur during stay. They need a little focus on room cleaning. Disliked the way u have climb four flights of stairs to get to ur room. On a busy road would be better with double glazing. windows didnt seal properly so cold draft at night and very noisy (right on the main road). No lift. A little tired !. A little 'worn around the edges', but more than adequate for a night in London after a concert. However, since I got the basement room, somehow the smell of the room is quite humid. Wifi was not functional, I was able to use it 20% from my staying (2 days); my room was in the basement, no air conditioner, very hot and warm inside... no lift. Room was very very hot Shower was not very good needs to be a power shower To many stairs up 2 the room counted prob 80 Maybe have a lift? Small room. Our studio room had been changed for apparently worse room in a basement for an unknown reason, however there was no returning of the funds for that. We also had to go and ask from the lobby some of those facilities that had been promised to be found in our room. No problem though, still got them, but had to ask. The window was also quite windy and the bed was right next to it... no lift. too noise. Didn't like the 'cleanliness' of the rooms - there was grime around the inside of the toilet the carpet was Mankey round the edges, the tv remote I didn't even touch because of how caked up in dirt it was - the bed was clean, all in all a lick of paint wouldn't go a miss in there as the paint and plaster was falling off the wall in places. Also maybe bring your prices down for how expensive it was for how little we got. No breakfast included. Staff Stairs Had to ask staff for clean sheet. old furnishing and accessories. The strong food smell in the "kitchen" cupboard and the crockery in that cupboard didn't seem 100 per cent clean. The floor could have done with a good vacuuming. Bathroom was ok but a bit mouldy in the shower. No place to sit in the room. Place looks like it's still under construction. Only one poor light in the room. No night light. The room needs upgrading. Definitely not up to standard. A shower that hardly worked,bathroom so small you had to be a contortionist to get on to the loo,very small sink ,poorly equipped kitchen,very old grubby pillows. Not what we expected from the web site photos and write ups. Room stank of smoke. The traffic noise was so bad I could not hear the television. The walls were paper thin so I was woken up frequently by the conversations next door. Fungus growing up the walls in bathroom. Saggy old bed. What more can I say. The room, was not exactly clean tissues down the side of the bed, furnishings very tired and mis matched, very noisy with traffice, mould around the shower tray and toilet wobbly. TV did not work as no sound. Did highlight these issues on dep. only comment I received was did you speak to the night manager who we never saw so no. very dirty, 5th floor without elevator, small room, slow Wi-Fi, toster didn't work, very cold or extremely hot water, etc. The room smells cigarettes. There are 2 lights in the room and one of them was not working. It was dark. It was filthy, cockroaches in the bathroom, mould in the bathroom, bedbugs, unlockable windows, no fans, didn't feel safe. Worst place I ever stayed in. Carpets so old and marked. Scruffy furniture and far below what you expect an apartment should be. Many double rooms in same area come at same price with higher quality and more space. Bed so small. We could not sleep all night as it was too hot to close the window and street so noisy to open it.
