staff were friendly and helpful.the continental breakfast was fantastic offering 'eat as much as u like' the location was great and in an area that was safe enough and central.I was really impressed with the way the cleaning lady tidied our room so thoroughly-she even stacked our clothes and hats for us- i was very touched by that.It was great to have free internet in the hotel too.good hotel!!.
all reviews » The Hotel fitted our plans perfect with pre arrange available storage of our bags over week-end while we were in Paris and convience to Paddington rail station where we arrived from Cornwall,The price cleanliness,comfort,food and staff were without fault. Nice breakfast, nice big doubleroom on "Lower Ground" own bathroom withtube. Hotel only few minuttes from Paddington Underground. Goodlocation. Nice and friendly Staff!. the friendliness of the staff and also their breakfast were excellent.Everything was very clean, from the the rooms and bathrooms, to the breakfast hall and staircases. The rooms themselves were basic, but more than adequate with comfortable beds and more then enough hot water in the shower. The bathroom with the step-in shower (which we requested) was indeed small, but sufficient. Breakfast is also basic but good. All the staff was friendly and helpfull. Excellent location, Lancaster Gate (central line) and Paddington (circle line) a few minutes walk away. Bedroom and bathroom spotless, comfortable beds and good hot shower. We had booked a twin but were allocated a triple to the rear of the hotel which was very quiet with no traffic sound. There was no tea and cofee facitities. The bathroom could do much better with an additional shelf to put one's toiletries. Blanket on bed. I would have liked to have a tea/coffee/kettle tray in my room. Not didn't like but would have appreciated drink making facilities in room. The room was too small. Audible trafic noise all day long. The first room assigned to me was already occupied, fortunately there was nobody in the room when I entered. Nothing much. Affordable London hotels are typical of their xs-room size. like other review's I found the room to be a little tired and odd to see shampoo shoe shine stuff and even a safe but no tea/ coffee making facilities. but hey I have stayed in well over a hundred different hotels and this was good value for money, clean and a good breakfast.The rooms have been repainted and furniture is not bad, but room size is indeed too small. TV's are old and the image is realy bad, because of poor tv signal. Lot of small corridors and not easy to find your way out. Shower blasted you out the room! Stay 2nd floor or above to avoid noise from underground. Very noisy (no double glazing). Room looked out over busy main road. Noise also carried from adjoining rooms. Had very noisy people next door, but in fairness to staff the noise died down after I complained to Reception.Room floor was not clean. Room was very small. Shower had no pressure. Small rooms and although I gather it is newly refurbed, some of the laminate flooring was chipped and needed replacing in the bedroom and there was a piece of skirting board missing with nails protruding that could quite easily have injured someones ankles or if a child was in the room, could have harmed them.If i hadn't have noticed, I could have put my luggage against it and it could have ripped. The staff were a little abrupt at reception and the rooms were a little on the small side. It would also have been nice to have had the facility to make tea or coffee in the bedroom. Noise of the underground trains / also not mentioned on the brochure,room a little bit small.The constant noise of traffic and sometimes trains during the night.
