What people say
The hotel is super clean, both rooms and shared bathrooms. It has a beautiful green terrace and nice breakfast. Very close to metro station and the center of London. Staff is very kind, they allowed us to leave our staff in the hotel before check-in and after check-out free of charge. There is no elevator, but you shouldn't mind if you don't have a heavy luggage. I highly recommend it!!.
The staff were helpful. The room was clean and tidy, perfect for just 1 nights stay without spending ridiculous amounts of money for somewhere in central London. Easy to get to London Underground, literally a 5 minute walk to Euston/Euston Square. For the price, I can't complain. Pretty much luxury for a hostel! Definitely will be using the place again.all reviews »
Arrived early was allowed to store baggage.this is a student dorm not
a hotel staff were friendly helpful .room was small comfortable.
Shared bathroom was clean.easy access to tube euston and bus stop
across the square.breakfast was good .ten minutes walk to British
museum .nice area.
I liked the breakfast, the kindness of a young girl in the reception who helped me with Wi Fi. I liked the location not far from the centrum end the possibility to use The kitchen for my dinner so I saved up money for my trip around the city.
Great location - 5 min from Euston Square and 8 min from Russell Square, less than an hour from Heathrow. Rooms are basic but very clean, reception works 24/7, well-equipped kitchens where you can cook your own food, make tea or use a fridge.
Excellent central location, good facilities, clean and comforatble,
helpful staff, excellent value for money with a full cooked breakfast
included in the price, and really useful information leaflets in the
room and reception.
Loved the welcome when arrived. Very friendly and helpful atmosphere in the .office.
It would be wonderful if it were possible to be able to make a cup of tea in the room as they do in some of the Halls I have stayed in.
The reception staff were so so friendly and helpful! Made me feel at home straight away.
For the price the LSE was excellent, just down the road from the station and had all the facilities you would need.
I was travelling with my two grandchildren and we were so pleased to have a quiet room overlooking the garden, attractively decorated, comfortable and clean. Great choices at breafast.
The breakfast that was offered was exceptional. The location was great, very close to everything. The room was very clean and well kept, I felt very comfortable staying here.
Great to be able to get tea and coffee.

Never a queue for the loos or showers.

Being able to safely store bags before check in. Location and other than paint fumes clean and comfortable. Felt safe and breakfast was very good.
Easy, quiet, good location, although basic, good towel and toiletries provided and an excellent breakfast, nice to be able to sit outside.
Well organised place and secure. Staff were really nice. Budget accommodation in a great location. The best thing was my room was massive!.
The building is like a university dorm, very clean. Love the neighborhood, clean and accessible. Good breakfast.

Decent breakfast food.
Spacious room and toilet.

Fantastic - just like being back at Uni in the 1980s. Amazingly quiet for central London.
Excellent location, nice breakfast, garden would be perfect if the weather was better.

It is not actually a hotel, but a dormitory for students. Breakfast is good, compared to other budget hotels and hostels in London. Shared bathrooms and facilities are fairly clean. The place is a few blocks from Euston Underground.
the service was okay, most of the people at the reception desk were friendly, location was very close to king's cross, was safe and quiet - maybe too quiet if you want to go out and enjoy some night life :).
It was clean and conveniently placed. It represented the best value in respect to other London accommodation options, but was still not cheap at all.
Noise from plumbing from Sink next door at one in the morning.was awake
at seven most mornings due to activity and doors slamming on corridor.
Disaster in the toilets on Sunday evening (seems people do not know how to use garbage cans and there's not many staff members on Sunday to clean everything).
Breakfast is so-so, it took me the whole week to get what is a main item and what is an optional one and how much of what I can take.
Lift can't be used on the third floor, if you've got a lot of luggage or just a big heavy bag it will be problematic for you to get it upstairs.
Nothing, I would definitely stay there again.
Carpet was wet by sink obviously from previous guest.
We were upstairs on the 1st floor and there was no lift, and I had to drag a heavy suitcase up.No-one to help either.
Bed not very comfortable and flet a little cold in the night.
Small towels.
Small bedding.
No lifts.
I had expected wifi in room for a reasonable charge not being limited in common room at £1/20 min. Fr 1 night not a problem and places like Starbucks not so far away offer free wifi. Would be a problem for longer stay.
I was charged twice but staff soon noted this and refunded me.
None really although the carpet in my room was badly stained but i didn't mind too much given the price I was paying. Wifi was slow but it was free so can't really complain too much about that either :-).
Water is not hot in shower.
Nothing. It was perfect and we will stay there again!.
Mushrooms growing out of bathroom walls
No access to a mug to use to make a tea
Tepid water only available in bathroom shower
More good than minor bad.
not having my own bathroom.
alarm seemed to go off alot , noisy plumbing could hear taps i was abit dissapointed in the breakfast as it seemed cold and went different times to see if that made adifference.
The second day there was a problem with all the toilets on the floor I was staying and I couldn't use them.
No heater.
6 item limit at breakfast.
Remember to take your pajamas or dressing gown for walking down the corridor to the loo & showers, the towel's a little small.....
Late check in - 3 p.m.
I think nothing is bad.
Carpets on stairs really dirty. Quite a wait at breakfast on one day for
food to be replenished. No porridge on that day.
rooms are not as nice looking as in the photos but clean.
the single room is small but you can't complain that much while it's in the central location.
Noise from other rooms.
Nothing.
there was nothing i did not like, its basic with no en suite, but i knew that in advance.
Showers
Noise in street
Constant beeping of doors.
That letsbookhotel.com hadn't informed the hotel. They were not aware that we were coming, but went out of their way to help us. We did have to wait for an hour though!
Double check on letsbookhotel.com.....
cannot connect wifi.
cold shower.
Can not refund when I reserved incorrect date. (It is my fault but still
want to complain it).
No free wireless, although I could use the university wireless (Eduroam).
The walls are paper thin and there is no TV in the rooms, so make sure you bring earplugs. The beds and bedrooms, specially single rooms, are very small, so if you are a tall big person, don't stay there. Definitely not the place for people looking for comfort.
the room was pretty spacious so i don't understand why there couldn't be shower in the room as well (there was a washing basin so the water pipe had to be installed there anyway) plus they took the payment from my credit card without previous discussion (okay, maybe it was mentioned in the conditions but be honest - who reads that?) - i had the cash withdrawn and wanted to pay with cash but they just told me at check-out that it's already covered..
I missed the sign that advised all breakfast items (up to 12) needed to be dished in one go. I dished two cold items, returned later to dish to warm items (I don't eat big breakfasts) and was turned away. No explanation was going to help. It was like dealing with a machine. I did not like that and actually found it a bit mean-spirited and inhuman.
