The whole Hilton, paddington experience for my girls weekend was fabulous, stepping off the train and straight in, check in, leave luggage with sweet gentlemen in reception and when we got back and went to our room, it was beautiful, spacious, newly decorated, new, clean, and the bathroom was gorgeous, first class. Not much of a view as it faced Ito a quadrangle, but that made it very quiet, could hear no traffic or noise whatsoever. I am so pleased I tried the Paddington Hilton and will be bac.
all reviews » We were able to leave luggage there when we arrived early. Our room was very nice and quiet. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Super convenient for Paddington Station and for access to other transportation for sight seeing. We had a wonderful stay. There are a variety of restaurants near the hotel including Chinese, Indian and Greek although since we weren't too hungry we picked up a sandwich and dessert from the M&S in Paddington Station and ate it in the room. It was excel. I had a wonderful suite which was very comfortable. The hotel is very busy with business meetings etc. and it is connected to Paddington Station so if you are traveling through Paddington it is a great place to stay. Also, 2 blocks from St Mary's hospital and who knew I was going to need a trip to the emergency room. By the way the staff was very friendly and responsive. We arrived very early, and were able to check in - this is very unusual in a city hotel, but made it great to be able to have a shower as we had been travelling for about 12 hours! The location for us was great as we were there for such a short time, and Paddington station is just over the road, and where we needed to get to early the next morning. It was an enjoyable stay at Hilton Paddington. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and very comfortable. The location is great as it is situated just beside the tube/and railway stations. Even though it is facing the busy stations, no external noise was heard from the room. Perfect!. The check in was a very smooth process and they managed to accommodate us much before use actual check-in time of 1500hrs. There were 2 elements to our stay that I didn't like, one being one of the hotel porters, he was rude and looked harassed yet everyone else was extremely jolly and most helpful. I will be writing a formal letter referencing him. Also the card reader on the door kept cancelling so we had to keep going back to reception so they can reset the cards! It's just slightly annoying!. Internet access is only limited to the lobby and is not impressive. I had to call the housekeeping daily to give us the complimentary water bottles. Coffee maker was not in the room and was provided when i asked for it. The channels on the TV are limited and the free ones are boring. 1. No free wifi - consider this as basic which is part of excellent service. Especially tht Hilton is mostly patronised by biz travellers. The overly fussy coffee machine in the room, with it's 8-point instruction for use! Can you find a simpler system please? I had to abandon it due to time constraints!. The reading lamps in the bedroom were inefficient. The tea and coffee making area was so small, given that the rooms were so big. Price could be lower but generally hotels in London seem to be expensive. Nothing. Construction on new train line next to hotel may affect some rooms. Hotel has those loud doors that slam when they automatically close. Lots of travelers on different time zone makes for noisy hallways at weird times. Hotel does not extend free WIFI connectivity in rooms. The free WIFI signal at the lobby is rather weak - very frustrating experience!,. The hotel has no facilities at all. Also it didn't offer Halal meat to muslims. nothing on this trip. Room was cold but it may have been my misunderstanding having to turn on the fan. Water was not very hot which I would have liked after a cold day out. Bath was very narrow and hard to get into for older persons!. Reception slow at times Lounge service slow at times. Nothing. the bathroom could do with a chair/stool. Nothing springs to mind. We were only there for one night and had a very busy schedule, so were really only in the room for sleeping. Shower kept going very hot. Husband visited gents in lobby - they left a lot to be desired. No free Internet inside the rooms. Mini bar & lounge food prices are pretty steep (although there are plenty of alternatives locally). Noise from street. - WiFi should be free of charge at this level of accommodation - Rooms should be supplied with bathrobes and slippers - Service in the Steam Bar was terrible - Hot water was intermittent in the shower. one fault I found was that the floor in the reception area was slippery, I managed to slip over within 3 minutes of arriving but was not hurt thank goodness! I came close to it happening again 2 or 3 times. Guess I won't wear the same shoes again when visiting the hotel.
