The hotel was right in the middle of leeds and very close to the railway station so easy to walk to and easy to get onwards the next day. The hotel is within shouting distance of several different restaurant food outlets and the sghopping centre! however it still felt seccluded within that. There is a lovely feeling of history about the building with comfotable modern facilities, reccommended... all reviews »
Lovely clean and nicely decorated room. Also very comfortable and the staff were very pleasant will stay again when visiting leeds.The room was lovely and clean, and very comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. from all the hotels i have been to,this was the cheepest and the best stay i have ever had.Easy to get to, really close to city centre, clean rooms very quite. clean, comfortable , courteous staff and excellent value for money. great value for money and ideally situated. the staff were very friendly and helpful. Convenience of shops, restaurants, etc. Convenient and pleasant staff. perfect in every way. Very helpful staff . Friendly and clean. peace and quiet. Everything!. He recommened a local restaurant and check everything was ok regarding this as well as the hotel itself. I have stayed at this hotel before when the same receptionist was one duty so would stay again. He also told me about the change of hotel name etc.The hotel staff were very helpful and kind. The noise levels were at a minimum although there were a couple of groups of lads staying. The rooms were adequate and were cleaned and restocked daily. The location of the hotel could not have been more convenient. An enjoyable stay!. I liked dthe hotel easy to get to. Next time Ill try to get to the first part of hotel as it was quite far with all corridors. excellent position- close to trian station and the Queens hotel where my conference was being held. Very nice pub next door!. Friendly reception clean well furnished room all facilities were in aworking condition. It served its purpose very well. The staff was most helpful.Staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money, and the room, while pretty basic, had everything we needed. It was very clean.Very central for nightlife etc. Plenty of parking close by. We stayed Saturday evening to Monday morning so took advantage of the free Sunday parking. good value for money - close to the central train station and to inner city.Friendliness of staff and basic comfort was good for the price. For 2 it would have been fine.The continental breakfast on offer was, in comparison to other hotels i have stayed in quite limited, although there are many places to eat in nearby. corridors. Bit of confusion at arrival at 10pm- apparantly my on line booking had not come through and there was no reservation! But the receptionist was lovely and I had a lovel room allocated on arrival. I would be concerned if I had made the reservation if the hotal had been fully booked however and I had not been so lucky to have a room available. Bit over priced. lack of full breakfast facilities. I could not get wi fi in my room for my laptop.Would have been nice to have an extra blanket rather than having to keep the heater on low all night - there was only a sheet, thin blanket and thin cover on bed, which wasn't totally adequate in January. Overheated at times. Undergoing renovation so very noisy. Road works outside created noise until midnight, but that's not under the control of the hotel.Thought the bathroom could have been cleaner, but for one night's stayit was adequate. not a twin room, entrance lobby very shabby, carpets although clean very stained. Furniture was arranged in a strange way. the room didnt have a bath in. We were on the 3rd floor so could use the lift, but we understand that some of the upper floors don't have lift access. room cleanliness not quite as good as it could have been this would have made a significant difference. Bath not suitable for less fit people. Standard of decor in the room was alittle tired.Cold, sometimes. The bedspread had a burn in it, as did the carpet, and this made the room feel a bit like an old bedsit. Also the TV was not working! Well, it did work but only had 1 channel with picture, one sound only and no freeview channels, a terrible blow for a neighbours fan.
