Great location for business in London; easy for tube to anywhere (from Barbican, five minutes walk away).   My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week.   We had a fantastic stay at ‘The Rookery’, I cannot fault the hotel orstaff in any way. Previous comments mention the noise from a localnightclub, we had no problems with this at all and our room was locatedat the front which is where if you were going to have problems youwould.   This hotel is actually on St Paul's doorstep, quite the best location possible. The check-in was over in seconds and our room was large, and had everything ~ including the kitchen sink!... and the cost was as unbelievably small as the bed was unbelievably large! From now on there is no option in my mind. My wife and I have already planned another ... what people say » visit next month. - Great hotel...GREAT Location, we were on a floor that was a once smokingfloor so our room stunk asked to be moved and it was no problem, muchhappier when we moved. You can pretty much walk most of the city fromthis hotel and the sight seeing buses are right outside the door. Alittle expensive but thats not their fault the dollar is worth nothing!!
