In 20 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland, on the shores of the Beauly Firth near Inverness, this 17th-century Scottish mansion is now a luxurious 4-star country house hotel. Free parking is available at this hotel, and there are Tesla and non-Tesla electric car charging points on-site. Rich in historic character and traditional charm, parts of the Bunchrew House Hotel date back to 1505. With dark-wood panelling and real log fireplaces at both ends of the room, the Drawing Room is a warm cosy place to relax. Each en suite room is individually decorated with its own unique character and the rooms are named after local places and Scottish clans associated with the house. All rooms have TVs and fridges, with fresh milk supplied daily. With fabulous views over the Beauly Firth to the mountains beyond, the wood-panelled restaurant has received 2 AA Rosettes for the quality of its cuisine. The Cocktail Bar looks out onto the hotel’s magnificent gardens and offers a range of drinks, including fine malt whiskies.

My husband and I absolutely fell in love with the Bunchrew House. We stayed in the Lovat Room complete with a beautiful king-size four-poster bed a forest view. The House is castle-like and right on a lake--a perfect honeymoon spot. The hospitality went over and beyond--when they didn't have a drink I wanted on the menu, they went out of their way to make it for me (and it was the best I'd ever had!). all reviews » My Fiance and I stayed here for one night. It was absolutly beautiful! The staff were fantastic, the rooms were lovely and we were given a room upgrade on arival. The on site resturaunt it amazing with fantastic fresh produce and it is lovely eating there whilst looking out onto the loch. This house is so majestic, set on 20 acres of gardens and just by the sea. It is very well kept and run to high standards. Breakfast was excellent and wi-fi was good. Very clean rooms with lovely views and very good facilities. Pity we were there for just one night. We Travel and eat out alot but at £90 for the night for the two of us inc breakfast, this place is excellent value for money! the evening meal was a revelation with Michelin star quality food at a lot less cost! (cheese course excluded). Very hospitable and professional ambiance and service throughout. Very high standard of accommodation and public facilities. Wonderful cuisine with exciting and highly tempting menus. Congratulations and appreciation to all concerned. The hotel was just what I would expect of a waterside Scottish hotel, pink stone, turrets and an old world feel. The waiting staff were the best we came across on the whole of our tour. A very helpful Manager (David) arranged a booking at his sister hotel, when we were planning to stay a second night. The recommendation was brilliant and we had lovely service from all other staff. The staff were very helpful and the stay very comfortable except for someone in the woods with a power saw at 1.00 am. Had to get up and close the windows on a hot evening. On the south bank of Bauley Firth not far from Inverness, and easy reach to places like Lochness, Dingwall and Strathpeffer. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful. I liked staying in an old castle with a great atmosphere and a reminder of the history of the area. The peace and quite, water, suite was large and comfortable. Pet friendly, but clean and professional. Food was excellent Staff helpful and well trained. The car park needs to be surfaced, we had to walk through mud and puddles in the dark to get from our car to the hotel. we had a lovely room with superb views but lighting was all by table lamps which meant it did get a bit dark in the evenings. Already paying top prices I thought it was a bit much to charge supplements for menu items. e.g. £2.50 extra for smoked salmon at breakfast, same for scallops as starters when you only got two small scallops. gravel to the front door from the drop off. Bed was less than comfy. Dinner was lovely, compliments to the chef. However the salmon started, though delicious, was very small and could have done with 3 pieces. facilities are need to be updated. bathroom did smell a bit. Out of town. We stay just one night. not a lot really. very good. nothing. Early check out time.
