  The family who run this guesthouse are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing appears to be a problem with them from booking to arrival to departure. The facilities are first rate, the appearance of the guest house is very appealing at untitled glance an does not disappoint inside. The family have made a large effort to make this an enjoyable ... what people say » experience. Well done! Close to Gatwick Airport to wher a shuttle service is provided in the cost. Highly recommended. - Lovely house, pleasant owners/staff, but above all, the location. Next to Gatwick Airport (but very quiet) and very near local railway station with frequent trains to London (45 min. journey). Also, only a couple of minutes' walk from local shops, pubs, restaurants, banks, supermarket, etc. Ideal for Gatwick flights and visiting the capital without paying London hotel prices, esp. if travelling with children.

  The hotel was perfect for a night stay either before or after a flight out of Gatwick airport. The hotel had a well organized shuttle service for airport drop offs in the morning.   The service was excellent and the room was actually a really good value! We arrived fairly late at Gatwick and the shuttle was still running. Hotelier booked a cab back to Gatwick for us the next day that arrived exactly on time and was extremely reasonable. Good breakfast and comfortable atmosphere! Rooms clean and warm (you can control radiators yourself) and with everything I needed. Good value breakfast and easy to use free wi-fi in public areas.

  We appreciated the airport transport provided and the flexibility to be able to accomodate a change in timing. We appreciated that the proprietors were responsive to our needs and without our prompting looked ahead to help us plan for a supper venue. Though we do not transit Gatwick that often, Cumberland House will be our B&B of choice fo... what people say » r future travel. - Both Clive and Carmel were very welcoming and accommodating in their approach and nothing seemed too much trouble for them when asked. The only disappointment for us was that leaving so early in the morning we did not get to eat the full English breakfast. I'm sure it would have matched the other high standards, but there's always next time !!!

  I liked staying there a lot. I have allergies to perfumed substances ,polish ,toilet duck ..etc. I requested no perfumed products at all even softners on sheets affect me. So no products were used fab fab fab. The Breakfast dining room was pleasant light and airy Very clean.At least 2 tables were by the windows. Food & service good. Free taxi ... what people say » to airport if you fly between hours of 7am & 10pm. That Was good as would cost £10 if you had to Pay. If you choose cooked breakfast as opposed to - When the temperature of the room was colder than I was comfortable with and there was noise from tree work in the back, our host changed our room immediately to one which was warmer and quieter. He also suggested an excellent dinner place which was within easy walking distance and helped in other ways. Breakfast was tasty..although when will the Brits stop using that 'radiator' toast hangers so the toast is cold before the cooked part arrives! I would be happy to use Gatwick Turret Guest House
