The Woodcote House Hotel is newly refurbished to a very high standard. All rooms have en suite superb showers and flat-screen TVs, and most have king-size beds.

The accommodation was spacious ,very comfortable bed and bathroom new. Wonderful shower .Staff exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Breakfast excellent plenty of choice. A wonderful personal family run hotel. Highly recommend to anyone. Great location quiet and for seeing the Wirrel and Chester. Easy to find. Lovely family run hotel, very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms very nice & comfortable, great breakfast, we also ate in the restaurant for 2 evenings, very nice menu. Had a great day out on the train to Liverpool, helped by information from John in the hotel.
all reviews » Both my wife and I thought the location was perfect for touring the Wirral. The room and bathroom were good, but the food from the restaurant was superb.The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no doubt that we'll stay their hopefully when we visit The Wirral next year. Very easy to get to (location), Very efficient, polite and helpfull staff. Very good food in the restaurant that was good value as well, and we were not rushed to finish your meal. Had a nice relaxing stay, we will use this hotel again. What a find! Beautifully clean hotel, gorgeous rooms. Amazing breakfast. Lovely garden to sit out in. We all absolutely loved in and will be visiting again. Perfect location to visit Chester and the Chester races. Highest marks. John the owner and all his staff were exceptionally friendly nothing was too much trouble.We had to return to UK for my Mother Inlaws funeral the room they prepared for us was well received being very quiet and comfortable. friendliness of staff. good breakfast, nicely cooked to order and served in a lovely breakfast room. bedroom facilities excellent. iron and board brought without delay. good hot shower. The main building was rather tired - needs updating, had to ask for a change of room(No.5) as the shower pressure was simply a dribble, steep old stairs up to the top floor, Wi-Fi signal useless everywhere. Bar prices a bit top heavy. Nothing. Shower too small and shore rose couldn't be adjusted. Noisy. Restaurent food was disappointing. location could be better. Nothing. Nothing. radiators not too hot - needed draining windows needed cleaning. Nothing. matress quite hard, sounds travel easily in rooms. Bed a little hard. Nothing. The walk to my room. Quite dark. When a private party was booked I had nowhere to sit except dinig room. a little isolated from nearby villages. It was a really hot summer day, but the radiator in the bathroom was on and there was no thermostat. Windows are small and I couldn't get the room cool. The staff on duty said that the cleaners don't like going in room 12 in the summer because it is so hot, but they feel it's acceptable to put paying customers in there! Consequently, it was so hot in the room that I didn't sleep. The only thing on the menu I would have eaten was steak, so the only other option was the set meal which appeared to be good value. After being presented with this it wasn't, Nobody enjoyed there meal. Upon checking out we were charged extra for the sweets? They appeared to be part of the menu? The breakfast was excellent however. I would recommend B&B only...
