My experience was excellent. Also the hotel was very quiet, even though it was close to the airport. Excellent room, service provided and the polite staff, well done. Reception staff very efficient. As always, staff service/courtesy make or break. At the rlh, it makes!. Excellent view of airport and runway. Reception staff upgraded the room to club room as my husbands 40th birthday, made the stay very special. Would recommend this hotel and stay here again in the future.

Check-In was a pleasure. The service.Its location - I needed a stop over for 10 hours - I wanted somewhere comfortable, close to the airport with a shuttle service, and a good rate. Over £100 for 10 hours ( I left at 4.30am) is more than enough to pay.Cannot commnet on the other facilities as I did not use them. proximity to airport . nice room. comfortable and convenient. good location and connectivity to Heathrow Airport and London City. very posh foyer. Enjoyed watching the planes at the Airport. Close to the airport. closeness to the airport, access to club lounge. Restaurant prices rather high. Long hallways and long treks to room. Room very well furnished and confortable but small.The room was too small for the price paid. food quite expensive. we are vegans and there was not much choice, however a special meal was made up for us the next day. Hotel was unable to accomodate all requests, had to re-arrange rooms at hotel to achieve view of airport as requested in booking.Expensive shuttle considering the proximity to the airport. Telephone fees for international calls are exorbitant. I had to call my bank in Canada and was charged 118 pounds. This is patently ridiculous when I can make the same call from Canada to England for less than one pound. Continental Breakfast buffet price was not posted. 15 pounds per person is not reasonable for cereal and yoghurt. Some of the facilities you advertise on your website were not available.The bathroom was not adequate - the toilet handle was stiff and broke,the hot water tap was extremely hard to turn.When we checked in we were put into a normal standard room even though we had paid for a deluxe room with mini bar, robes and view of the runway. Took 10 minutes of discussions with the receptionist before she would admit the mistake and move us. Stay was fine after this.
