  All the staff were really friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. We ate there every night of our stay. The decor of the inn was understated and stylish with lots quirky little rooms and low ceilings. Our room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable and the wet room/shower room was very stylish. Althou... what people say » gh we were there on business, staying at The Old House Inn felt more like a holiday. We cannot wait to go back. - the inn was very quirky, loads of character. The bathrooms were fantastic, beds really comfortable and huge! Staff were helpful and had alot of time for their customers, which is a good attribute. Would certainly stay again.

  The Effingham was beautiful and spacious -- large room overlooking beautiful grounds, like a country estate. The regular-size bus with luggage racks was excellent to transport us from the Gatwick Train Station and back to the Gatwick Airport next morning for only 2.50 pounds per person per trip.   This was a really lovely place to stay tucked into the trees off a quiet road, but very near Crawley and East Grinstead, and most important for us, Gatwick Airport. We were able to access places very easily, but felt more relaxed out of the way. The main receptionist whose name I unfortunately forgot was wonderful! She lives on site and couldn't h... what people say » ave been more welcoming and helpful. Even arranging cereals and milk on a tray because we were checking out very early morning before breakfast was av - The space in the room. Being in a single room they are usually minute. The last one I staying in, I couldn't even get the door fully open before it hit the bed and I had to sidle through the door. This room had soooooo much space and the shower room was nearly as big as a normal double room. Very clean and very comfy. - Friendly and helpful staff with a professional attitude. Accommodation was fine. The location is excellent for quiet and greenery. Dinner was fine with a good wine. Bed was comfortable. Full English breakfast enables a full day's activity without lunch. We appreciated the kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.
