Clean modern room and ensuite bathroom facilities. Great central location walking distance from train station, shopping and restaurants. Very friendly and professional hotel staff. hotel room was very clean,our shower,toilet and bed was spotless,great hotel and staff,have booked again for easter.very quiet during the night. no disturbance. Both of the lifts were out of order, and I had trouble finding the way down for breakfast and had to be helped by another guest. twin room a bit small especially bathroom having coming out of the shower and trying to dry yourself in bathroom a bit cramped, no space to move about, room 118 twin bedroom. getting stuck in the lift for 5 mins. the room backed onto a bar/restaurant/club area which by day was very nice to look out on, however by night the club was extremely noisy and it was impossible to get to sleep until around 2am. There is a second sound proofing window which helps massively, however the noise is very much evident. noisy at night. Remember you are city centre!. The background music and TV at breakfast was far too load. I could barely standit. the staff on duty turned down the TV, but when they tried to turn down the music saig it was either that load or switched off - they couldn't adjust it. They weere very helpful, but please do something abut this problem.Noise from club/disco across the road - loud music playing until 2 a.m. The loss of our booking.The only downfall that my group and I found with your hotel was that the towels provided was very tight. As literally it was a hand towel provided for shower use. As from my experience that has never happened before whether it was a hotel or BandB we were always given Hand and Bath towel per guest. Rooms smaller than i thought. The hotel was a bit shabby and the rooms were tiny. Ironing facilities were absolutely terrible and lift was out of action. Rooms were not very modern. There is no hairdryer in the room. I paid a deposit to get one and the next morning forgot to take it down with me so had to go all the way back to fetch it. Inconvenient. small touches would've improved our stay such as hairdriers, extra pillows and english as well as continental breakfast as an option.It was very close to a number of loud night clubs. Being stuck in the lift for almost an hour. Not being kept informed by staff during that hour of what was happening. Cabinet door for emergency telephone in lift had to be pried open using brute force.Swiping of credit card in order to check authorisation/funds on checking in only to do the same when paying on checking out. Gives an uncomfortable tint of distrust and I do not recall seeing anything about this procedure whilst booking. If they need to receive payment in advance they should do just that. Room size: Could be bigger and no wardrobe or drawers.only 2 small towels in the room. asked for extra but they were not put in our room as promised. I can hear every single noise that my neighbour made.Very small, basic room. Expensive for what it was. Shower had black mould around the bottom. In a very noisy position - very loud night club music can be heard from club across the square until 2.00 am. Not good when you have to be up to catch a very early train. Beds and Pillows. broken lifts, dirty carpet in room and bedrooms are very small. Rooms in urgent need of refurb. Black mould in shower was disgusting. Yes. It took 3 goes to get me a room which was notin use. Twice i went to a room with a key which should have been vacant but turned out to be occupied!! Is this not a fire hazard??. Had to change rooms because first one smelt. Second room was plagued by a dreadful humming noise (lifts)? Very difficult to sleep.
