The hotel staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. The decor was impressive and very interesting. The room was lovely, modern, clean and well presented. Breakfast was also nice with a personal choice of a cooked breakfast. The multi-story car park is just around the corner which was also good. The hotel is in a good central location for shopping and bars/restaurants etc. I would stay here again on my next trip to Aberdeen.
all reviews » Reception staff were very helpful and lovely, easy to get on with. Room was beautiful, very nice decor. Bathroom was spotless, facilities in room were superb! Bed was a good size with comfortable bedding, television was perfect location. Lighting was optional! Fast free wifi service was a boost. Hotel as a whole was absolutely stunning. Overall excellent service and stay! Will defs be staying again. Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Being a smoker I was expecting a hotel like this to have one wee smokers area down the bottom we were on third floor and there was a smokers area on our level. Down a level and down the bottom. Plenty areas for people to sit and relax with a drink. Every member of staff were very welcoming. Fantastic. Nice, clean, friendly hotel with a great welcome. I've also had 2 business guests stay here for 2 days. Both are seasoned travellers, both were extremely happy with the facilities in the hotel and the standard of the accommodation. Hotel was well located for the city and our room was excellent and furnished to a high standard. A mini-bar or fridge would have been welcomed so we could relax in the room without ordering room service. great location, within the city center, basically everything in walking distance. great breakfast buffet. extremely friendly staff. very comfortable rooms, lobby, etc. next time I will reside here again!. Only downside to room we stayed in (209) is that it got very warm very quick, but easy acess to a window was perfect!. Absence of any parking and no parking or stopping allowed outside the hotel, meant difficulties in moving our luggage. quite noisy during the weekends due to the party venues around, but not a great issue since the windows are very well isolated. during the week very expensive rates. no mini bar in the rooms. Small gripe - Gym not fully kitted out in respect of no towlels, and no cleaning disinfectant spray and paper towels to wipe equipement down after use.Perhaps a water dispenser would be a nice addition. However, Gym was always clean when I used it. Nothing. Not applicable. Restaurant was a bit quiet/lacking atmosphere. Breakfast to improve. nothing. Parking in the NCP car park - felt slightly unsafe at night, as parking then having to walk to the hotel on my own. Bed uncomfy. Breakfast cook could have been a bit more cheery. The gym facilities just lacked a bench for use with the loose weights. I did not like the shower, pressure was terrible. Also, I had a lot of luggage and there are many steps you have to navigate to get to the street level. I can't imagine this place is very friendly for handicapped people. Due to its downtown location, only small window without view !. It was a little bit difficult finding the parking area. Anyway the matter was solved quite easily with the help of the staff. Only thing i can fault is the gym, leisure area could do with improvement. Found the door entry system a hassle because it was dark so could not make out the numbers clearly and it took me about 15 minutes to correctly enter the code. the lighting levels on my floor and having steps rather than ramps for moving around. corridors are very dark and location of the stairwells were difficult to find should you not wish to use the lifts. Bed was on the small side. nothing. Poor lighting & signage in room corridors. We were told just as we checked in that there was a function that evening until 1.00am it was very noisy in our room. We didn't mind that much but for a older couple it wouldn't of been nice. Also the bed was two single beds put together as a double & we kept falling into the middle. Very uncomfy. The room was a bit small, but probably OK for Scottish/English standards which I normally find a bit lower than the rest of the western world. No parking on site. No bath. Room 404-very dark decor, needs redecorating in brighter colours. Had to put kettle on floor as no socket nearhand. awkward to sit at dressing table mirror as television covering half of it. Breakfast on Saturday morning-lukewarm. You have to pay for wifi! Ridiculous for a hotel charging £200 a night and professing to be a 'business' hotel. I didn't like that they charged me for the night my flight got delayed and was unable to make my original reservation. They could have been a bit more understanding. Room was a bit small, bathroom sink slow to empty. Room service menu was poor, consists of only cold sandwiches outside restaurant opening hours. Nothing. Nothing. Having chosen but not pre-warned about a 'Hens Party' on the first night followed by a wedding on the second night, the noise from the smokers deck was disgusting. On complaining we were given an additional bedroom for the night. The stairs down to the lower level.
