We had a fantastic deal on the hotel through letsbookhotel.com, and paid 350 euro for four nights. When we got to the hotel, a sign said our room would have sold for 240/night! For the price, we were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were spacious and quite luxurious, with a comfortable bed and grand bathroom (including a fantastic shower). When we arrived, we were granted an upgrade from a no-view room to a room with a semi-view of the Bosphorous. I had read complaints about a poor breakfa.
all reviews » The hotel is perfectly located in the European part but with Dolmus (6 euro) easy to go (direct) to the azian side. Opera is close to Taksim, where is the Hilton, Hiatt, .. all big famous hotels, BUT Opera (small scale) positions itself in the middle of all The room we stayed in is loung and extermely beautiful, view on Bosphurus, all windows. Also the resto on topfloor perfect and briljant food!. The staffs were extremely friendly...Although the hotel is placed at the heart of Istanbul where its usually very noisy...when you are there, you have all the peace and quiet in the world :) The rooms are very well occupied with almost anything you may need...I definitely recommend this hotel and would surely try it again at a later point. There was a 'free' hammam offered, but when we went to use it, the place was deserted and nothing was functioning. The hotel is well located - near the main walking street, not far away from the bus to the airport and main sights, near the ship station (you can get to the Prince islands from here). However to get to the main attractions you have to take a tram. provides airport transportation. Nothing. Even if its doesnt have nothing to do with the hotel , be carefoul at taxi drivers . They can scam you if you dont pay attention . the bathroom had a glass door and anyone who is inside can be seen by who is out. we asked for a separate bed but they gave us double bed and their excuse was that the hotel is full. Limited tanning hours as pool were on ground floor and overshaddowed by bigger buildings. The lack of floor heating in the bathroom. However I would ask not to be in a room with a connection door to the next room. I could hear everything. Even the opening and closing of a zipper sounded like being in the middle of my room. Smell from bathroom area Breakfasts. I was working in room on day 1 of 4 when cleaning staff came and I asked them to clean room later. Despite asking at desk 4 times later room was not cleaned. Can't think of a thing. pricing billing. coffee but luckily a Starbucks is 5 mins up the road. Car park detached from hotel. - smell in the room; does aircon need cleaning? - breakfast staff. The breakfast was not that great..can add more fresh fruits and egg items. i didn´t like the location. at night it´s to dark, and it seems like no onw is staying there. Sewage smell that was very bad even though they sent the plumer twice he didnt do a thing. Reception admin morning shift has very bad attitude,, they gave me a room with malfunctioning balcone door, and they refused to fix it or change room. Iwas enforced to stay in the room utill they gave me a smaller room. every thing else. rather not a real 5 star hotel. very bad staff. The room they gave me was number 607 I couldn't sleep at night for the last two nights as it smelled like sewage so bad. Brakfast not good stafe not good.
